Is the only place our thoughts are safe is in our heads?

I just found out that every conversation I have with my husband (who's in Iraq), every email that I send him, is monitored. And I mean that there is a live person listening in on our phone calls as we speak. So my husband is gone for 15 months and I can't have even one private conversation with him in that whole time.

And this is *before* the socialists take over.

Monitored by whom? The military? Since your husband is in a combat zone, it would be understandable from an OpSec point of view. What the military probably fears most is a troop spilling his guts to a reporter, or to someone who would pass it on to our enemies (I'm being redundant, I know).
