McLame ran a lousy campaign, he was not conservative enough and went on the attack much too late. Sarah Smile infused some much-needed life into the campaign and I only hope she runs for higher office in the future and doesn’t disappear.

I agree, Coleus. I miss seeing Sarah on the national stage every day already...

While I respect John McCain the war hero, as far as politics is concerned... it would be nice if he just retired, IMO.

Smith though is nominally pro-life, and OR is so liberal that no conservative will ever win there in my lifetime again, I suspect.

We will be fine and stronger. One important thing I learned from this elections, America would not elect a woman President. Palin is a great conservative but she is not going to be elected President because she is a woman. It is a reality that we should not ignore.

There are few good men on our side that can run and win in 2012.

Senator McCain needs to directly (i.e. publicly) address these issues surrounding Governor Palin.

I believe they are all pretty much “in bed” with one another. (I’ll give you an exclusive, protect my identity). Not doubting your analysis, I just don’t trust Chris Wallace very much, especially after his histronics on the Fox and Friends Morning show, I think it was during the primary, but maybe not, but I’m sure you know of what I speak.

This is the thanks she gets for busting her butt, joining the ticket with a guy who had a steep uphill climb, given his age, his previous bout with cancer, the fact that he had repeatedly pissed off republicans in the past 8 years. The only reason McCain won the nomination was because of the assasination of Bhutto. It’s too bad people who were voting at the time did not take into consideration the fact that the economy was already starting to hit some rough spots and mcCain was not going to have credibility when it came to dealing with the economy. He sure as heck did not help himself when he said he did not know as much about the economy as he should. That liar colmes kept on misquoting McCain by saying that Mccain had said he did not know anything about the economy.

“I thought Greta said tonight that Steve Schmidt said that the “towel story”, at least, was not true.”

Okay, that’s good to know. Schmidt really hates the press, so I’d like to think he wasn’t behind this.

“This is all so disgusting. It just makes me sick.”

I know. What really bothers me is the anonymous sources. If we’re going to play the blame game, fine. Let’s get everyone on the record.

“And if McCain doesn’t come out soon and blast these jerks publicly, and soon, I am going to lose serious respect for him! (I can’t say ALL respect, because I most certainly respect his service to our country.)”

I tortured myself actually reading the Newsweek article, and it had a quote from McCain saying the one thing he really didn’t want to see was a circular firing squad.

I know he’s off with the wife right now, but he does need to start talking about this.

While he fought the good fight in Viet Nam he dropped the ball here. Now we have someone who is suspect at best. Getting along is rarely good thing.

“I like Governor Palin. I think we have a whole bunch of liberals, jealous RINO women and girly RINO men that are scared witless because she’s a true blue, God-fearing, gun-toting American pro-Life & Liberty conservative woman who talks the talk and walks the walk.”

I be Plagiarizin’ here, ‘cause I couldn’t have said it better meself.

I wonder whose brilliant it was to have McCain sign up for federal matching funds?

McCain might be on vacation, but he could issue a press release that would end all of this nonsense. He should find out who leaked this and “name names and make them famous...”

I disagree to some extent. She can be elected President because she is a conservative and is an effective communicator. Besides, she definitely wore the pants in the ticket. I am impressed by her, and I know she can fight the caricature the media made of her. Remember, the MSM painted Reagan in a similar manner back in the day.

Palin is no Ronald Reagan. Many people have problem with a woman President including most women. It is just the nature of the American electorate and the nature of women. Palin is a damaged good after this election and she knows it.

OOps, let me try that again.

I wonder whose brilliant idea it was to have McCain sign up for federal matching funds. Did he wait to see if Obama would do it, or did he just jump the gun and was the first one to announce what he’d planned to do?

I remember Jack Firestone personally taking David Drier to my office to intro him to "local conservative business owners", and I had great hopes for him. Key word here is ... HAD.

If somebody in the McCain camp was making remarks about Barry like this, they would be sleeping the the fishes at the hand of McCain. When it’s Palin, it’s OK? I hope names are named, and those that turned will be held accountable. What a bunch of scumbags and cowards. It was disgusting what the media did to her, and McCain allowed this to happen on her way out the door. If she knew this would have happened she would have stayed in Alaska for sure. Hopefully she realizes that the base has her back. It’s the base that wins elections, not a bunch of RINOs, moderates, and Georgetown-dinner party pukes.

Many people also didn't see a black man as president, but that's where we are. Palin is only damaged goods for rinos. Stop throwing our conservative leaders under the bus!

You are very wrong about that. Sarah is the one who can beat Obama in 2012.
