FR did not announce a boycott of FoxNews. One idiot poster out of 10000 suggested it and it died on the vine...as it should.

Except in the minds of the posters that never donate to FR, never donate to a campaign, never volunteer, never leave their caves.

They thought it was a wonderful idea because it was something they could do without getting out of their beer stained Lazy Boy.

Only Democrats believe what the media (lies) has told them about Palin.

The_Republican (post #32)

Just like he had to babysit her through every interview.

Just like he had to explain and spin everytime she contracdicted his position on major issues.

Just like he was forced to program her to ignore moderator’s question.

Just like he had to explain why Neiman Marcus’ stock is going up.

Just like when he had to explain to everyone why she would be fine if there actually was a 3:00am call.

Just like he had to arrange a shot-gun marriage to resolve Juno Alaska.

Just like he had to spend time and resources fighting Troopergate.

Thats all the Old man did since the moment he picked her......clean up her mess.

Why not one more time! While he is at it, send her a copy of constitution and a map of the world. She could use it.

It is the women who would have a major problem with her because most women do not like to be ruled by another women.

Then WHY did so many of we GIRLS say we were delighted to have our own Maggie Thatcher? And what's with this "rule" thing?

First of all, saying someone is no Reagan isn’t exactly an insult. No one is another Reagan.

That said, while some may have a problem with a woman President, I dont think that matters much. The exit poll showed that Hillary would have gotten an even bigger margin than Obama. I don’t think anyone doubts that she would have won if she had been the nominee instead of him.

She still got close to 47%, 57M+ votes and won 22 states, and within less than 1% of winning IN and NC, less than 2% of winning FL. Compared to the last woman on a nat’l ticket she did far better. If the economy hadn’t tanked in September, things would have been a lot different. With more experience, seasoning and accomplishments under her belt as Gov in the next few years, she’ll be in good shape.(Not that she isn’t already in good shape, at least per that WSJ article about how she runs 7 miles a day, and looking how she did so soon after giving birth)

So I don’t think you can say being a woman really hurt her all that much. McCain did better among white women in FL, for example, than Bush did, and in a few other states as well, so she helped him there. McCain did only slightly worse among white women than Bush in 2004 and he did better among white women than Bush did in 2000, Dole did in 96, or Bush did in 92. I think Palin was a big reason for that

I agree she certainly has some repairing to do of her image, but that’s done all the time. I mean, it’s not like she’s friends with an anti-American hate-filled, racist preacher, a fmr spokeman for the PLO, and a domestic terrorist mastermind and his wife among others.

It’s a lot easier to develop and push your own agenda and ideas than it is to have to defend someone else’s like McCain’s. It’s easier to develop ideas in opposition to Obama and the dems than it was to have to constantly defend those Bush. Just like it was easier for Reagan to go after Carter in 1980 than it was for him be saddled with Nixon and Ford in 1976.

History is filled with people who made comebacks. FDR was the losing VP in the biggest defeat in US history in 1920. We all know what happened with him. Nixon was given up for dead after 1960 and his loss in the 62 Governor’s race. Reagan made a brief run for the nomination in 68 and a longer one in 76, losing both times. People thought he was finished in 1977.

Palin is only 44. According to the exit poll she has a 78% approval rating in AK, even after all that happened the past two months. She has plenty of time and plenty of opportunities to build on what she has already and pursue further opportunities if she wants to.

This year like 76 and 92 was one where the public got tired of the GOP and disgusted with Bush and wanted a change and a fresh start. In the end, that desire was probably too strong to overcome, although I think if the economy had stayed the same as it was when McCain took his lead in mid-Spetemebr, he would have a decent shot of winning instead of no shot of winning.

Four or Eight years from now if people get sick of Obama and the dems and they mess up and things go bad like they did under Bush, Palin will have a great shot. Heck, Hillary was 60 this year. Palin won’t be 60 until 2024. She won’t be Reagan’s age in 1980 until 2032, or McCain’s age until 2036. There’s plenty of time for her.

Part of Sarah’s charm is that she is not from Washington. It would be a mistake for her to go to the US Senate. That is part of her charm that she is ‘not one of them’ inside the beltway.

She should follow the Reagan model. If she can capture the Chairmanship of the Republican Governor’s Association, raise money for 2010 candidates, write a book (with a ghost writer), set up a PAC for special needs children, push through the $48M pipeline deal down to the lower 48, cut taxes in Alaska again, reduce spending and corruption in Alaska (as she has done) and hit the lecture circuit talking about energy while building on her alliances that she gained from this 2008 election cycle - she will have positioned herself well - and very similiar to what Reagan did after he lost in 1976.

Sarah always came back stronger after losing her first attempt in her pursuits. In the meantime, someone separately should set up a website (marketing effort) that pursues the Media and Press and go after these TV networks and print media such as the NYT while it is at a junk bond status, and go viral with getting people across America to cancel their subscriptions.

With a watered down Media and Press, a built up profile of Sarah.... we have a basis to move forward.

Has anyone considered that all this “Sarah Palin trashing” could be coming from the camps of 2012 potential candidates that may have an invested interest from inside the McCain campaign.

Most women will not elect a woman for President and that will be Palin problem.

Not true, under the right circumstances. The next very painful four or eight years will create the right circumstances.

In addition to that she is a very damaged good right now and she knows it.

No, the Republican Party is very damaged right now, and everyone knows it. And that's a good thing, because it has become a rotting corpse. The more mud the crypt-keepers throw at Palin, the further she is distanced from the stench.

And this certainly doesn't look like irreparable damage, where it matters most:

69% of GOP Voters Say Palin Helped McCain

Don't underestimate Sarah Palin.

Republicans actually booed when McCain mentioned Obama’s name. talk about rude! We are BETTER than this! the level of racist and unprofessional conduct among McCain staffers and rank and file supporters was very visible.

Very visible when which hallucinogens are taken, you mean? Pill, sublingual, hypodermic, or in the eyelids?

Document your charge, Weaver95. What racism? Sheesh, you sound like an Obamabot.

And do you know what was in the minds of those who booed? Tell us that, too.

I for one, will boo a Marxist/Fascist any day.
