Noonan’s articles did more damage than her vote. NOONAN! DEAD!

I agree. Her last minute vote did nothing to erase all her pre-election simpering. She sounded like a touchy-feely- goody during interviews, trying to express her feelings.

Her opinions, expressed with such deep whatever, heartfelt whatever, were just boring, and she sounded just like a liberal. She never had anything positive to say about Palin, and I have lost the respect I once had of her.

Christobel Hitchens is not a Republican. He is a borderline Trotskyite. He is a decent writer and has said some tough, scathing things about Islamic terrorists — but not nearly as harsh as the things he’s written about Mother Theresa, Pope John Paul II and Ronald Reagan. (When Reagan died, Hichens referred to him as “dumb as a stump,” an “obvious phony and a loon,” and a “cruel and stupid lizard.” Hitchens’ Bolshevism explains his support of Obama.

Did McCain EVER really want to be President?

Not sure. But what I do know is he didn't know HOW to become President and wasn't blessed with the likability and prerequisite speaking skills needed to persuade people.

Palin energized the base but I doubt she reached many people besides those in the choir. Jindal is a good conservative and speaks well but sounded like a detailed bureaucrat during the hurricane. Make a great cabinet hack.

Idealogy is great but not enough. we need people that can reach and persuade the masses. Ive been saying this for years. We have two camps who are both wrong - those that want RINOs and those who are only concerned that candidates have conservative idealogy even if their speaking skill is largely confined to preaching to the choir. Neither is the right approach IMO. I don't want a Dole or a Hunter. I want a Hunter that can speak like Clinton or Reagan and dazzle the masses.
