We have lots of queers here in greater Ft Lauderdale but there hasn’t been much backlash that I’ve heard of. I think any particular demographic in California is probably crazier than its cohort demographic in any other state. And let’s face it...queers are all about emotion.
not one of the 67 counties of FL voted in a majority to oppose “support homosexual marriage”.
Florida also needed a super majority of 60%.
That was supported by homosexual groups who thought this would make it “out of reach” for a protect marriage amendment.
Probably one of the reasons FL was “off the radar” in contrast to California. With such a supermajority of support there is not much the group can do.
