She gave an interview to the Bob & Mark radio show in Alaska and made clear that she's not going to appoint herself or run for the senate seat. She said it would be unethical to appoint herself, noting that it was precisely the sort of thing she ran against and criticized Gov. Murkowski for doing.

And she also said that she’s not sure that the American people are ready for such a “type” of campaign. She was indicating that it would be so “out of the norm” that she thought the American people would not know what to do with it and (by implication) it wouldn’t work...
