Candidates do not have the time to go shopping. The job of candidate starts early in the morning and ends frequently after midnight. Consultants are hired to do the clothes shopping, like Naomi Wolfe for Al Gore (fee was 180,00). I am astonished that people do not know this. This is how campaigns are run and have been for decades.

Who says people don't know this? The truth can be SO inconvenient, though. There was an election to be won; the media didn't have TIME to waste worrying about facts!

From many of the posts durig this election, it would seem that you and I are the only ones who know this.

The consultant was given a budget of 150,000. The consultant disappeared for a few days into the bowels of some high end shops. She reappeared with a new wardrobe for the candidate who was losing weight from her most recent pregnancy and who had (according to my wife) an out of date wardrobe. Sarah was the only person in the race who was not a millionaire.

The whole wardrobe kerfluffle was a lie. Just like all of the other lies told by the press.
