Still have not heard his plan for the economy. I thought that was the reason for the speech.

His plan for the economy should be to stop talking. The market shed 150 points in the 15 minutes that his pie-hole was emitting sound.

And yes, the crack about Nancy Reagan was crass and low-brow, but perfectly in comportment with the idiot that he is.
