Anti-Obama PAC Asks: Should we fight on? [Our Country Deserves Better]
Our Country Deserves Better Committee ^ | 11/07/2008 | Howard Kaloogian-Deborah Johns-Mark Williams

Posted on 11/07/2008 12:14:51 PM PST by Impeach98

So many FReepers were involved with the Our Country Deserves Better Committee, so I wanted to post this here - both so you can vote, and also to see some of the pictures from the national "Stop Obama" tour.

The voters have spoken, and while we are all deeply disappointed in the outcome, we have to make a decision on whether or not we should keep on fighting for our values and beliefs.

We're writing to ask your opinion on whether the Our Country Deserves Better Committee should continue on and stand ready to lead a "loyal opposition" to any policies or political agendas of President Obama that we believe will be harmful to this nation?

This question was raised and discussed by the senior leadership of our organization the past two days and we have unanimously decided to keep up the fight -- so long as you, the members and supporters of this organization, are willing to keep the cause alive.

We've started an online poll at our website to ask whether you believe we should continue on and keep the doors open at the Our Country Deserves Better Committee.

You can vote YES-we must fight for victory, NO-we should accept defeat and move on, or UNSURE/UNDECIDED.  Vote online - HERE.

Your opinion is vital at this time, because frankly this organization doesn't exist without you.

Our model, ever since we first launched in July, was to empower like-minded patriots by organizing grassroots efforts, articulating our message with greater influence in the media than any of us would have as individuals, and advocating our cause through advertising over the TV airwaves, realizing that by pooling together the donations of tens of thousands of Americans we could make our voices heard in ways that none of us could achieve on our own as individuals.

Supporters like you greeted us at a rally in Crystal Lake, IL - outside of Chicago.

If you are so inclined, we're willing to continue to lead this fight.  We believe we made a real impact on this election  by motivating so many Americans who share our views to get up out of their Lazy Boy sofas and get involved in this past election.  It wasn't a big enough impact for this campaign, but we're willing to wage a longer, and bigger fight to ensure success in 2010 and 2012.  The question is this: are you still interested in fighting the good fight?

Please, cast your vote for what we should do next - VOTE HERE.

We will keep the poll going through Tuesday, so be sure to vote before then!

We are heartened by the words of Saginaw County Republican Party Chairman, Tim Kelly, as he spoke to The Saginaw News:

County Republican Party Chairman Tim Kelly said the bus tour group that bills itself part of the "Our Country Deserves Better Committee" filled a void -- particularly with the purchase of hundreds of thousands of dollars in television broadcast time to run ads after the McCain camp pulled up stakes and headed for the border to battleground Ohio and elsewhere.

"They have come through where the McCain campaign hasn't," Kelly said. "Other than getting a one-sided campaign from the Obama campaign at least Michigan voters have a chance to see the opposite in support of John McCain."

The bus tour had one message above all else: Obama isn't ready to assume the highest office in the free world, said Kenneth V. Shapley, county coordinator for the McCain camp.

"Now is not the time to be experimenting with the presidency," he said.

We heard a similar message in many other parts of the country, and we do feel that we made a difference, especially to those who felt overwhelmed by the spending spree and greater organizational advantage that Obama had over McCain in most parts of the country.  We helped to level the playing field somewhat.  And with an even stronger organization, we are sure that we can have an even bigger impact in 2010 and 2012.

Below are several pictures from our national, "Stop Obama Tour" that we conducted from October 15th - 29th.  While we had to give up 2 weeks away from our families, friends and homes, we were so inspired by the people we met across this great nation -- people such as you, the members/supporters who turned out and supported this campaign.  We appreciated so much the efforts made by those who turned out and were determined to fight for America.  And we'll continue that fight if that's what you want to do.

But please let us hear from you -- you can vote and also make a comment.  Just go online to our website:  http://www.OurCountryDeservesBetter.com

Now we leave with you with some new pictures from our cross-country bus tour.  There were so many great memories made, and we again thank you all for your dedicated support and tireless efforts.  You have shown that you are determined to fight for America's future, and we are honored to have had the chance to work with you thus far.

Supporters in Battle Creek,MI lined the street, waiting for our arrival.

An enthusiastic crowd in Belton, MO - just outside of Kansas City.

We had hot cider  with "Joe The Plumber's" father and brother aboard our bus.

A fired-up crowd gathered in Brighton, MI

Supporters came out with great energy in Madison, Wisconsin

Lloyd Marcus invited veterans up during "God Bless America" at our Elko, NV rally.

Mark Williams speaks to the crowd in Grand Rapids.

We had a fantastic rally in Grand Blanc, MI !!

Supporters braved a cold, windy day in Sault Ste. Marie

The crowd gathered in front of our bus in Lansing

We showed our TV ads at a news conference at the National Press Club in D.C.

Thank you for the great reception we received in Saginaw County!

A great group of patriots in Henderson, NV

Marine Mom Deborah Johns addresses the crowd in Sacramento, CA

The rain didn't stop us in Traverse City!

And the sun warmed our hearts and souls in Colorado Springs, CO

Again, we ask you to take just a minute of your time to go online and cast your vote - should we continue the fight that we began in July and carry on to win victories in the 2010 and 2012 elections?  Or do you think it's best that we call it quits now and move on with our individual lives?  Cast your vote here:  http://www.OurCountryDeservesBetter.com

I’d rather see him fail and sulk back to Chitcago in humiliation and defeat. Country is bigger than one man. I’ll give him the same amount of respect that the DUmocrats gave Bush and Republicans for the last 10 years....NONE!

The Republicans better get a real conservative leader soon or the party is finished, because I know scores of conservatives who are at the point of jettisoning the party and creating a true conservative new party. We haven't had a conservative candidate since Ronald Reagan. My recommendation for a GOP leadership cadre, or the leadership cadre of a new, conservative party, would be: John Bolton; Sarah Palin; Newt Gingrich; and Bobby Jindal. That would be the party leadership, not necessarily the party's candidates, though any of them would be fine candidates as far as I'm concerned. But, we need a cadre of strong conservative leadership, which is something we've been lacking for 20 years.

I don’t care if he “fails” for four years but his first failure that impacts American lives hits all of us.

I don’t wish anyone to be the recipient of this a**hole’s bad planning.

And I still don’t see Katrina as “Bush’s fault” when the Louisiana leadership f**ed up so badly.

What goes around comes around, what the MSM, the left, the DUmmies did will all come around in the big circle and we will have vindication, we will correct the mistakes, we will give forgiveness.

Never quit, all markers are pointing to the outcome that the Big O will not succeed at becoming the 44th President of the United States, his qualifications are in doubt, his leadership skills are in doubt and he runs away from scrutiny.

If he still manages to usurp himself into the Whitehouse then stronger actions will be required, right now he apparently is about to hang himself and I am getting weird vibes of a possible suicide attempt in the making here, he is breaking apart in front of all America, the Messiah made of lead feet.

I want to see Obama be a good president. There is no benefit to this country to see it collapse. I do not wish him any success with expanding the roll of government, giving amnesty to illegal aliens, funding abortion, funding ACORN, investigating the political opposition in a partisan purge with show trials that waste public resources, limiting constitutional rights including the rights to free speech and bear arms, or any of the other left wing hot button issues you could think of. And we would have been vigilant on speaking out against any of these issues that “President McCain” may have pushed as well (amnesty and fairness doctrine among them). There is no “mandate” for Obama to socialize this nation. He even denied he was a socialist. As his ‘plans’ are articulated, they can be debated and exposed. There is no patriotism in blind loyalty to the president's agenda, just because he was elected. But there are no sour grapes that he “stole” the office, illicit funds and all. Just a culture of corruption that permeated his campaign and will likely stain the office as others before him have stained it.

I agree with you. There was a mandate. The people have spoken.
It's going to be difficult to watch my values be tromped on though. I'm not sure I'll be able to handle the news, especially after eating.
Who knew change could make an old guy sick to his stomach.

I don’t understand the enthusiasm for an Obama win. Skin colour alone isn’t an attribute let alone some kind of achievement in society or business. This doesn’t make sense unless you support Marxist or socialist policies. Since I moved to UK I no longer follow American news as closely as I used to. I just can’t be bothered. Now my 401K has plummented I can no longer ignore. What the hell is going on there? Has everyone lost all sense of reality?
Regards,
KPH

There is a petition also going around asking the government to require Obama to prove that he is a United States citizen. He may NOT be and thus ineligible to serve as President. Please sign this petition at the enclosed site:

Thank you, I had a GRATE time!

Those certainly are some great memories.

The thousands of people that came to our rallies all across this country was awe inspiring and showed what this country is really made of.

If it wasn't for one ACORN that grew so fast with the fertilizer of the Obama Phenomonon of Fraud we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now.

One bright spot in the middle of the night at a gas station did surprise me.

I was gassing up, and this lady came up and flashed me!

I looked over at her husband who was gassing up their vehicle and he seemed alright with it.

She opened up her jacket and

She told me she had a picture of her and her friends with those shirts on, and they are all hockey Moms!

She wanted me to give the picture to Sarah, so I gave her my email address but she never sent it to me.

Remember when we let John McCain share our rally space?

We put him out on the lawn, and had our rally in the parking lot.

Women for Palin everywhere!

These two struck a pose by Sarah's picture on the bus

Yes, the Colorado Rallies were great.

Several people convoyed with us and attended 2 and three of our events.

MtnGrandpa and Jan in Colorado did a great job of helping to organize those events.

Here's MtnGrandpa and Deborah Johns

Geeze, can't get away from BO. Is that the glare from his halo between those two?

I couldn't find a pic of Jan, but I probably have one somewhere. She was a great help.

To make up for that, here's 3 hot babes in Colorado:

More Women for Sarah!

Sorry I forgot to ping the two of you to the posts above.

It was great seeing you again MtnGpa, and finally meeting you Jan.

It took me a while to get to posting this, I just got back from having dinner with Todd and Sarah.

We had Moose in The Palin's Hunting Shack.

Here's all that is left...

We're glad you came to Colorado too.

That's a fine Moose head you have there. Hope you had fun in Alaska with Sarah and Todd. Things are getting rather bad here in Colorado. Here is what we ran into last weekend....

Example

Democratic Bear

The photo above captures a disturbing trend that is beginning to affect wildlife in the US.

Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signs
of belonging to the Democrat Party... as they have apparently learned
to simply sit and wait for the government to provide for their care
and food.

Colorado has turned into a Blue State, dang it!!!
