Is it me or is it strange the media calls Obama "the president-elect" when they refer to President Bush simply as "Bush"?

I have noticed that for a long time, failing to show respect to the President or the office he holds.

From day one, they refered to him as Mr. Bush. This was to de-legitimize him as the President. That start at the 1st minute after he won the election in 2000.
I also will call Barack...Mr. Obama.
