Profile: Rahm Emanuel, Barack Obama's new enforcer

President-elect Obama had a shortlist of one when it came to choosing his White House Chief of Staff; Rahm Emanuel, a politician so ferocious that even his own mother calls him by his nickname of "Rahmbo".

If the Democratic Congressman accepts the job as Mr Obama's enforcer, Mr Emanuel, universally characterised as a foul-mouthed attack dog who can end the career of anyone who stands in his way, will serve as a perfect counterpoint to the sugar-coated Mr Obama.

Mr Emanuel, 48, who served as an aide to President Clinton, has proved in the past that he bows to no-one when it comes to getting the job done, as Tony Blair discovered when he visited the White House at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal in 1998.

As he prepared for a public appearance with the president, Mr Blair was warned by Mr Emanuel: "This is important. Don't **** it up."

Mr Emanuel, who represents Mr Obama's home town of Chicago in the House of Representatives, was valued by President Clinton for his ability to pull off the seemingly impossible, such as forcing through the ban on assault weapons, through his sheer force of character.

"Clinton loved Rahm," one former colleague recalled, "because he knew that if he asked Rahm to do something, he would move Heaven and Earth – not necessarily in that order – to get it done."

Paul Begala, another veteran of the Clinton administration, put it more bluntly: "He's got this big old pair of brass balls, and you can just hear 'em clanking when he walks down the halls of Congress. The Democratic Party is full of Rhodes scholars – Rahm is a road warrior."

At least Rahm is a proven friend of Israel.

Yes he is, to the dismay of many who elected Obama. Witness:

Barack Obama, Neocon

http://www.infowars.com/?p=5806

“A mere 12 hours after claiming the Democratic presidential nomination, Barack Obama appeared before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee yesterday — and changed himself into an Israel hard-liner,” Dana Milbank wrote for the Washington Post on June 5. “He promised $30 billion in military assistance for Israel. He declared that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force has ‘rightly been labeled a terrorist organization.’ He used terms such as ‘false prophets of extremism’ and ‘corrupt’ while discussing Palestinians.” He even went so far as to declare Jerusalem “the capital of Israel” and stressed, never mind international law, it must “must remain undivided,” that is to say in the hands of the Israelis.

Wrong. He voted on withdrawing US troops from Iraq immediately and against including the Iraq war in the larger War on Terror. Anyone who supported our surrender in Iraq is also harming Israel. He is a typical JINO Democrat hack.

His father was an Israeli and Rahm volunteered in the Israeli Army during the 1991 Gulf War.

With Ehmanuel as chief of staff, I expect the first term of the President to be rough.

Many interpreters of Revelation believe that the First Seal opened brings a false Messiah dictator who will confirm a covenant with Israel, but he will betray the covenant after three and a half years. That will start the great final battle.

Is this confirmation of our policy toward Israel by Hussein, the opening of the first seal? I don't know, but there sure are a lot of things that follow the prophesy closely.

“As he prepared for a public appearance with the president, Mr Blair was warned by Mr Emanuel: “This is important. Don’t **** it up.””

I hope Mr Blair told him just who the hell he thought he was talking to another sovereign head of government like that, but the craven b*****d probably mumbled humble assurances that he wouldn’t ‘f*** it up’ like a butler being barked at by his master....

Well, his more recent actions don’t show that allegiance.

Perhaps that’s why there is also the work “turncoat”.

The Israeli’s did not fight during the first Gulf War.

They were bombed by Iraq but had no army in the war.

heard on CBS radio between Hannity segments that he sat on Fannie Mae’s board during the inception of the lending problems and got millions of bucks as a separation package (can’t swear to the latter statement because of AM band interference.) They had a financial guy on commenting on it, how troubling it may be. I notice this profile omits that bit of bio, unless I read it too fast.
