I noticed on Drudge’s site that there a sign in front of the podium (in the same fashion as the Obama test-run presidential seal) that says “The Office of the President Elect”.
What the heck is that? Has that been there for all President-elects, or is that just a special thing for him?

Just him. A sign of extreme immaturity, as is his affected serious mien and the constant gesturing with his hands and fingers. The President-Elect sign is his way of stating, 'I have arrived!'. Very insecure is the person who acts like this.
In a differently presented, yet in similar vain, episode I noticed how Oprah acted on her 'post-election show'. She came out screaming, and jumping up and down like some vagabond who had just won the Lotto. Quite opposite her usual manner of, again, like Obama, affecting a sober demeanor.
