We knew it was happening for a long time including when the Republicans controlled the Presidency and both houses of Congress. There is no one to help. There is no party that cares. The population is comfortable with socialism. You can fight but the fight will only be for your own dignity as there are no masses that will fight with you.

The experiment was a noble one but it expected more from human nature than was realistic. Most of the world doesn't think Europe is so bad, after all.
