I really think McCain would hurt Chambliss down here. McCain is not very popular in my neck of the woods. Just look back at the primaries. Palin would absolutely guarantee a victory for Chambliss. It is the homerun he needs. Have her spend one day making 3 or 4 stops around the state, maybe only giving 1 or 2 actual speeches and then she can fly back. He!!, I will pay for the flight myself if need be. Have her show up right after Thanksgiving maybe November 30 or December 1 to get out the vote.

It would probably also guarantee a primary win 4 years from now as well :-) Folks down here have a long memory.

“Amnesty for illegal alien law breakers and killers?”

When I was driving along the Gulf Coast in Jun 2006, I stayed at a small campground near Mobile. Met and spoke with a Mexican staying there. He said he was working there for an Atlanta contracting company painting for $4 an hour. When I asked him if he could get work at home would he rather live in Mexico. He said he would like to live there, but what he liked here is that the police are honest.

This illegal alien problem is never going to be solved as long as big contractors (and political contributors) can get away with hiring illegals for $4 per hour. Nor will it be solved until the drug crime/police corruption problem south of the border is greatly improved.
