I wouldn't label her as a lightweight. While her resume' is a little thin, it is because she wasn't thinking of going national.
I won't rake her over the coals, for not being prepared for something like that. After 18 months in office as governor, would you be thinking of VP or would you be thinking re-election as governor? Most poeple would be thinking re-election.
They come to you and say "we want you to be VP"....how do you say "no" when you know that McCain is in a hole so deep that there's almost no way out. You try to be a team player and you agree. And McCain loses anyway. And what do you get for your troubles....$h!t and shoved into it.
She chose to play in the big leagues and she showed herself completely unready for it. The true test will be down the road if she decides to run again. Instead of being annointed to the ticket she'll have to earn it in the primaries by running against people who want it as badly as she does. If she survives that, if she shows that she has what it takes to be President, then I will be the first to publicly admit that I was wrong about her and will give her my full support.
