Sarah has already established that she is an outsider. Now she needs to spend some time on the inside to become acquainted with what goes on in Washington and to establish her credentials with the conservative power brokers of the Republican Party. That’s why I think running for the Senate seat in a special election (assuming that Stevens is forced to relinquish it) would be a good move. Sarah would also be able to establish a grass-roots organization and raise money for her campaign and finally introduce herself to the people of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
