ANCHORAGE, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin hadn't been back home in Alaska for a full day and her staff had begun fielding requests Thursday for postelection interviews, including from Barbara Walters, Oprah Winfrey, Larry King and others.
"The intensity of all the interest is amazing. Everyone wants to talk to her," he said.
Aides to McCain and Palin, meanwhile, responded to reports of tension between the two sides over the Republican Party's purchase of more than $150,000 worth of clothing for Palin and her family, and accusations that Palin was ill-prepared for her role.
Randy Scheunemann, McCain's foreign policy adviser, called the idea of a split between the two campaigns "laughable."
"It's hard to believe these people worked for John McCain. They obviously have no loyalty to John McCain and no loyalty to his running mate," said Scheunemann, who prepared Palin for the vice presidential debae.
"I've worked in Washington for over 20 years. I have seen literally dozens of politicians, and Sarah Palin is as smart, tough and focused as any politician I've ever seen. I'm proud of the time I was able to spend with her," he said.

This makes me ill. Does anyone from FR watch her TV show?
Sarah should let her pound sand.
Well gee they all want to know if she appeared in a towel or robe of course.
Leave the Governor alone. What I would say to Oprah if I were Governor Palin cannot be reprinted in this forum.
No one is asking BIDEN if he answered the hotel door in a robe or towel.
Sexist BS.
Screw Oprha and Walters. I do not think she should interview with any of them.
Never, and never will!
Randy Scheunemann is a mensch, a gentleman, a patriot (ya’hear me Bill O borely?)
Yes it is sexist BS, the attempt is to paint her as common white trash.... These vipers will eventually get theirs.
We know he didn't answer it with wet hair, he keeps that in a jar when he showers.
with worthless aids like these and left leaning press who needs enemys?!
Just today, I revoked a co-worker’s “man card” for admitting he watched the cow known as “Oprah”.
She should let John Stossel be the one to interview her.
The low point of Sarah Palin’s campaign was for her to appear on Saturday Night Live in a very demeaning environment. Also, SNL had made a “joke” about Todd Palin having sex with his children.
I lost of respect for Sarah and her handlers for putting her on that show. It was so poorly managed, and I can see why Sarah would be furious with them. But who forced her to go on Saturday Night Live? She has to take responsibility for it.
Notice that the majority of critiques and attacks on Governor Palin seek to define her in common sexist terms.
This diminishes her message. If you look at her as the “hot” bod, then obviously she is just another dumb ‘barbie’ who has not a thought in her pretty little head!
Screw this stuff... how can any woman move ahead in the political landscape with this handicap? She better look like a man not a woman for one... prejudice... she better act like a man... prejudice... she better kowtow to the real MEN in the political landscape... prejudice.
The GOP had and still has an opportunity to make a difference. The Dimwits talk the talk but don’t walk the walk.
They were pretty much freaked out when Palin was selected for VP nominee. Very telling. Stay the course on this one Pubbies... keep freaking them out.
LOL!
Hillary looked and acted like a man, see what it got her.
That Winfrey woman makes me ill, and ALWAYS has. She should be attached to a tug and towed to the middle of the Pacific and left there.
Really?
Mc Cain campaign is ultimately responsible....
but apart from that, I thought she did a great job in the belly of the beast.
