My Nephew did the same thing, many days and weeks out canvassing, door to door getting out the message about prop 8, in addition to donating money. Unfortunately, and this irks me, he also voted for Obama. Go figure.So many of his supporters did not want to abandon traditional moral values.
Obama has vowed to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act and voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment. He even went against Clinton on this one, who was in favor of repealing some of the DOMA, but not all of it.
His supporters don't even know what he's about to do to their values...
