hey rhema,

i’m willing to bet that half the people who voted for 0, didn’t know his radical stance on abortion. my father in law was thinking about voting for him and i told him all about the BAIPA and how 0 wouldn’t sign it THREE times...i told him exactly what he supported and what it meant for the life of the child...he said earnestly that he did not know that 0 stood for that...that partial birth abortion is wrong and he didn’t agree with 0’s stance on the BAIPA—after we had a row about other topics he said he wasn’t sure if he would be voting for 0 or not...i have yet to find out, but my point is that people don’t realize what is entailed in “a woman’s right to choose.”

I would guess it could be higher. I talked to a couple of Catholics who go to church every week at least once and they had no idea about Obama’s record on abortion. I still think they voted for Obama even after I mentioned his record. I was disturbed. I don’t get it.

Abortion doesn’t seem to drive a voter but maybe I am just unaware. It is a clear driver for me. Except for Debate 3 and Sarah Palin’s clear views at rallys, the abortion issue seemed to be under a rug somewhere.
