There is a lot of blame to go around. And the fact, the tide was against them anyhow. But Sarah didn't cement the base and didn't attract the PUMA vote. She had high negatives. And if she did any of the stuff Cameron noted, then what's the beef if it's exposed.

We all delighted in the Clinton gossip. Thrown lamps and all. Tipper not speaking to any of them. Vince and Hillary.

We've got to get out the tribal mentality of protecting our own at all costs. We'll get better candidates in the long run.

"She had high negatives"

HUH? She didn't START with high negatives - the McCain campaign botched the rollout and use of her after the convention, and the Mediascum went entirely unopposed in consciously driving her negatives up.

If Governor Palin had been properly used and defended I don't think her negatives would have climbed to 50+% and the campaign would have had a fighting chance.

You want Sarah the veep choice to totally cement the base with such a weak RINO in McCain? We got around 20% of PUMA’s in key states.

Sarah did as much as she could in such a democratic year and we were also leading in the polls until the economic crisis hit!!!!

She’s the ONLY reason I marked my ballot for McLame. That’s it and all. Had it not been for Gov. Palin, my vote would have gone write-in, third party or blank.

The beef over exposing it is that someone made a conscious decision to attempt to destroy her as a future contender, likely in favor of the same trashy RINO/leftist candidates we mostly suffered through in the past primary season, when all the GOOD candidates got trashed here and by the MSM and thrown under the bus in favor of the (then) MSM darling who thought he was all that, until the MSM turned on HIM.

Y'know, you coulda fooled me. I thought she did a great job of energizing the base. That she didn't manage to get all of them back, when McCain's foolishness lost them is hardly her fault. And the only "high negatives" I noticed were from the MSM and a few of their "inside-the-beltway" accomplices, running a 24/7 verbal assassination party.

I'd consider siding with those scumbag staffers who badmouth her now as "tribal mentality". The conservative base loves Palin. The only one who have beef with her are the RINOs, the media, the liberals and the sheeple mouthbreathers who bought marxism hook line and sinker. Get real. Without Palin, McCain would had to content with having Lieberman for audience.

That’s a bunch of bovine secretions. McCain was the lousy candidate. He ran the same kind of campaign as Bob Dole. Both were following the Senate practice of speaking nice about each other. Choosing Palin was the only good thing he did. She has proved herself in spite of the poor handling by McCain’s campaign manager snobs.

Sarah resonated with the Republican base. None of the current repubcrat leadership are worth a damn. During the next two years she could become a member of the House or Senate. By 2012 she just might beat the messiah with one of her high heels.

And if you think she did then you're just a sucker for anything that oozes out of the boobtube.
