The maps are interesting and show geographically where we lost ground. McCain was unable to turn a single state from 2004 to the GOP, but lost seven. The county total coverage is very similar to 2004, but you see in roads by the liberals in many suburban counties surrounding cities.

My county went McCain and so did the surrounding ones.
Too bad we always get outvoted by Trenton, Newark, Jersey City, Camden, etc....

I know you worked as hard as anyone to defeat Obama. God bless you. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I know that as we have evangelized, the results have been discouraging at time. I have said for years that people are just too comfortable right now to see a need for God in their lives. Perhaps this is the way people will be brought to the Lord again. We will survive and we will rise again. Hang in there.

Good to see Orange County (in So. Cal, on the coast) is still GOP territory. ....a tiny patch of sanity in a sea of lunacy.
On the down side, this is the first time I've ever seen San Diego county on the 'Rat side.

This map reminds me of picture of a lung suffering from cancer. It is metastasizing. Hispanics and college kids account for the difference. I think its just about over folks. I’m looking for alternative places like Alaska.

Well - the surrounding counties went blue because the ‘new voters’ will only travel so far to cast their 2nd+ votes ya know. /joke

Just look along the Mexican border and tell me all those were eligible legal voters.

Thanks for the map. I have been wondering how the county-by-county map would look this year. I can’t believe how blue Michigan is compared to 2004. Our Democratic governor and Democratic U.S. Senators have RUN OUR STATE INTO THE GROUND! And they get rewarded.

There’s a blue cancer spreading across the map.

We get outvoted by one city, Philadelphia.

This was an unusual election. I think Obama won because he wasn't a white liberal. A white liberal guy wouldn't have won. Race made all the difference this week.

Yep.
And McCain only won here (OC) 51% to 47%. Scary.

Can’t tell it on the map, but proud to say Gloucester County in Virginia supported McCain over Obama 63% to 36%. Love of America is still in vogue here.

Good analogy. I agree.

People who live in sight of a skyscraper, an ocean, a Great Lake, or a major river should not be allowed to vote. I guess you can throw in mountains for good measure. From what I was able to deduce, Tarrant County, Texas (Fort Worth) was the only major metropolitan area not to go for the Socialist.

The Republican party needs to concentrate on :
1. Smaller, less intrusive government.
2. Abandoning trade policies that send our jobs away, providing a real alternative to dems who are doing the exact same thing.
3. Communicating the advantages of 1 and 2 in a coherent, passionate manner.
