Sorry if I misundertsood you!

I don’t see what’s inflammatory about talking about why many republicans sat this one out. It seems that they didn’t like McCain, and Palin didn’t do it for them either. I think it’s obvious why they didnt like McCain.

I would never have sat this election out in a million years, and can see a huge difference between McCain and Obama of course. Still and all though - McCain as prez was a thought that scared me not a little (Whereas Obama terrifies me). I just hope we have better candidates and leaders out there - when I see the threads on Newt and Sarah 2012, my heart sinks a little.

Anyway - I’m not a troll or a RINO or a Palin-basher. I just want to know what registered repubs thought about her as a whole, from an unbiased perspective - I wish the RNC could do a poll and find out. And I would like to see any polls that showed she influenced non-repubs to accept our ticket. I don’t think her conservatism really drew undecideds to her. If you say that is because the media bashed her - well, why can’t they bash her again in 2012? i can just see the big hoopla now as they “bring Fey out of retirement” to take on Sarah again.

Anyway... I’m not trying to be inflammatory here, just really wanting to talk about what happened and what we can do about it all.

Thats cool. Look, it's obvious that a lot of traditional Republicans stayed home or *gulp* voted Obama.

They either didn't like McCain or they didn't like Palin or they didn't like Bush and were never going to consider McCain or Palin.

We can all make guesses based on people we ask but they're just guesses. My extended family, who always voted Democrat before, were the first ones on line to vote for McCain/Palin and if there were a Republican ACORN they would have voted many times, lol.

I heard a lot of Democrats saying that for the first time they were voting Republican. I thought it was an indication that we were going to win.

It wasn't.

What happened? The only Conservative in the whole race was Sara. The RINOs that were in charge saw to it that she was mishandled from the start. We don't stand a chance in hell of winning in 2012 unless we have true Conservatives running and only true Conservatives in the back ground. Your dislike for Sara is very telling. She energized the base. McCains map would have looked like carters in 1980 without Sara. This is a Conservative board not a Republican board.
