I tried to call as well and found voicemail boxes that were overflowing, disarray, etc.
McCain had to focus on being the candidate. He could not micromanage the campaign. In his concession speech, McCain took responsibility for the loss and I expected him to no matter what because blaming the campaign staff would be bad form.
But McCain's close campaign staff was pretty crappy all around. You can blame him for that but I also blame the RNC because they have to step up and help out with the ground game, oversee the campaign from a distance and give advice about what the candidate is doing right and what they are doing wrong.
I don't think the RNC did their job here.
It goes without saying that Palin was doing everything right. The only times things went wrong with Palin was when she was handcuffed by McCain's staff.
McCain has to enter into this fray and set the record straight. Lets give him the opportunity to do that before we condemn him.

Right on - beagleone!
McCain’s numbers would have been MUCH lower without Sarah. O’Reilly has called for her to come and defend it on Monday - she should and McCain should go with her and rip those jerks that bad mouthed her.
