News has been circulating around GOP insiders for weeks that McCain campaign honchos Rick Davis and Steve Schmidt were planning to blame Sarah Palin for McCains loss. This was expected to be an effort to punt the blame for their own failures to the side of the ticket that was most popular with the base, attracted the largest rally crowds, and scared the living bejeepers out of the opposing party.

but I was stunned that she could not answer simple questions about what newspapers, mags, etc she read, even if she just ignores print media she would at least know the names of AK papers, then there are Field&Stream, Am Rifleman, Time & newsweek How many Freepers read these trash rags?

This story is a manufactured controversy by the MSM. Nobody in the Republican party truly believes that Palin was a "drag on the ticket" I guess you don't read Noonan, or listen to Karl Rove, or many of the paid Republican talking heads.

she should stop talking to mainstream media off-the-cuff. She should be home baking cookies, and getting pregnan, and let the men take care of this, right?

I just want to know what registered repubs thought about her as a whole, from an unbiased perspective - I wish the RNC could do a poll and find out. You are in luck, Rush read them on Greta's show this evening.

Why lose with Sarah in 2012 when we could possibly win with a stronger candidate, equally as conservative? You answered your own question before you asked it. Cool.
Consider yourself oficially outed.

Yes, I realize. Obviously the morons that stayed home or voted third party didn’t realize or didn’t care. I feel they are treasonous. It takes everything I have within me not to completely blow my stack when I see the posts bragging that they stayed home.
Thanks for the link. We’re in for a long, hard fight.

I think Obama is a sleeper - (as in WWII) Ok Gretchen, we were both there, it was Korea, not WW II. <(¿)> Your comments are dead on, and again welcome to FR.

I was for the first time not going to vote at all until she came on the ticket. She has given me hope that we can have morning in America again. Amen, I have voted in every election since Kennedy-Nixon, and yo had to be 21 then. I was going to do a write in until Sarah came to the battle.

Someone you dont have to worry about when he/she gives an interview with Katie Couric. You wouldn't have to worry about Sarah, if you take McCain's handlers out of the picture.

The Country First should have been McCain First - had it been country first, he would have swallowed his pride and gone after Rev Wright, changed his public financing, etc.. If you start a ping list, put me on it, I like your style.

My opinion that she should stop giving fodder to every group of journalists she encounters during her day does not compute equivocally to me being some sort of misogynist. You owe me an apology.

“We have rules here.”
I’ll have to leave the “rules” up to someone else to follow, cuz I’m just not cut out to admire Megan in that way. :)

How is saying we should pick the right conservative evidence of being a troll? Arnold is obviously NOT a conservative.
I don’t really get the troll part here - is that what people on this site just throw at you when they don’t like what you’re saying? I love Alan Keyes - he won’t win elections though... Jindal does... Palin is a question mark still in my opinion given aspects of what happened to her/was allowed to happen to her during the campaign... who else do we have out there, I’m hoping to hear more names?
Wow - I just once again wondered out loud about some aspects of Palin’s electibility... I just outed myself as a troll AGAIN!
I think some people here have reverse PDS, seriously.

Correction: Nobody in the Republican party HONESTLY believes that Palin was a drag on the ticket.
I see whats going on and I retract my previous posts.
It's a smear and way to go Republican party to flip the bird to your base.

Glad to meet you, itsahoot! I’ll be looking for your name on the posts - maybe we can contribute here to help get some of the ‘old’ values back in this Country!
“Personal Responsibility” comes to mind. My Dad owned a bank in 1929. His partner skipped out (democrap, no doubt) and my Dad spent most of the rest of his life paying back every single depositor something he had no legal obligation to do. He also sent money every month to his parents and completely supported my maternal grandmother who spent the last 5 years of her life in a hospital. There were no government programs and you can bet my Dad would not have taken any free money anyway. We obviously had less, but he managed to give us a wonderful life and scraped together the money to help me through college there were no student loans (which he certainly would not have approved of anyway) kids worked in jobs that today are done by illegal immigrants because Americans dont want to do them.
