Prominent Republicans have echoed that idea. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., one of McCain’s closest friends, suggested that Sen. Joseph Lieberman, an independent Democrat from Connecticut, would have brought independents to the ticket. Last week, former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge said that had McCain picked him, the Republican Party would have had a better shot at winning his state.

Lindsay Graham is a whining weasel. Part of the Surrender Coalition of the Republican Party, always willing to cut deals with the Dems. What does he mean about Lieberman? I thought McCain was supposed to win us all the independents? What does it say about Graham who believes the best way to get independents to vote Republican is to run with a Democrat?

And Tom Ridge? He’s the knucklehead who spent his days as Secy Homeland Security holding conferences at resorts all around the country rather than secure the homeland. Pompous blowhard.

People vote for president. To blame all this on Palin is the RINOs way of ignoring the real issue, no one really liked McCain, and all of the other VP choices were BORING.
