TEHRAN (AFP) — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday congratulated president-elect Barack Obama on his success -- rare praise between the two countries which are archfoes, state agency IRNA reported.
"I congratulate you on being able to attract the majority of votes of the participants of the election," Ahmadinejad said in a message to Obama carried by IRNA.
"You know the opportunities bestowed upon people by God are short-lived," he said.
"I hope you make the most of the chance of service and leave a good name by preferring people's real interests and justice to the insatiable demands of a selfish and indecent minority."
Ahmadinejad told Obama: "You are generally expected to make a fast and clear response to the demands for basic... change in US domestic and foreign policy, which all people in the world and Americans want on top of your agenda."

Woke uyp to nausiating newsreports htis morning as the media is falling all over themselves appologizing already for Obama and hte fact that it will take ‘more than a few short years’ to ‘enact and impliment his policies’, and I read about how Russia’s placements of short range missles near Poland is an “Aggressive maneuver” that is in “Stark contrast to” the “Global good will” that the “Obama election” has brought. Good golly!
Oh yeah, and hte AP is so giddy with Obama’s election that they are waxing eloquent claiming that Senator McCain took a “Shellacking” and the GOP is in “Virtual Tatters” and may not survive. I can almost see the writer writhing in exstasy as they squirmed in pleasure with a ‘tingly sensation’ running up their leg like Cris Mathews had that one night. lol

I’m not sure Obama’s gonna be that much a pushover to these bullies. I mean, how’s he gonna get re-elected if Israel’s nuked. Obama’s an appeaser, but he’s not that stupid, even through he’s gonna burn up a ton of Teleprompters next year.
Like I told all my liberal Jewish Obama-loving co-workers before the election. In the event your man gets in, you can kiss Israel goodbye.
But most American Jews seem to hate Israelis anyway. I’m sorry to say it but it appears to be true.
