I think Hurricane season goes until November 30th. At least according to Wikipedia it does.

1. The first time I set foot in the State of New York was when Hurricana Gloria hit new New York. It was an interview with Jack Welch's itty bitty company that brought me to New York that day. As Gomer Pyle would say, golly G.E. whiz!2. I knew hurricane forecaster John Hope, may he rest in peace.
3. Hurricanes Carla, Audra and Betsy, as well as Camille, has some impact on me as I was growing up.
