The anonymous trashing of Sarah Palin by blabbermouth McCain aides who are leaking to Fox News is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.
Allahs got the vid clip of a report citing unnamed McCain staffers accusing Palin of lacking, in Carl Camerons words, knowledgeability. More slime here. And here.
At least all the Hollywood and Manhattan Palin-haters were willing to sign their names and put their faces on their attacks.
Lets assume the rumor-mongers are telling the truth for a moment. Who does it damn more: Sarah Palin or McCain and his vetters who green-lighted her for the vice presidential nomination? Dont need an Ivy League degree to figure that one out.
Sarah Palin worked her heart out. She energized tens of thousands to come out who would have otherwise stayed home. She touched countless families. I didnt agree with everything she said on the campaign trail. But two fundamental conservative stands she took mattered greatly to me: She vigorously defended the Second Amendment and the sanctity of life more eloquently in practice than any of the educated conservative aristocracy.
And she did it all with a tirelessness and infectious optimism that defied the shameless, bottomless attempts by elites in both parties to bring her and her family down.
Shame on the smearers who dont have the balls to show their faces.
Thank you, Sarah Palin. Thank you for stepping up the plate and serving your country.

Yeah well apparently one candidate and his operatives didn’t let it end at there.
But the polls showing a 2% or 4% race were off as well. I guess the aggregate of all polls taken together was correct after all.
Morris was way off. WAY, WAY off. He now bloviates as if he did not completely make a fool of himself just on Monday. Why is he even getting the attention he is? Because he made predictions far different from Karl Rove and other Republicans? Nothing but Morris just being a self-serving tool.
I don’t think Carl Cameron is a conservative, he’ll report any disagreeable rumor about conservatives.
That's less than the 121 million who voted in 2004, despite the claims by many in the media that there would be an almost-unprecedented 65% turnout with definitely more than 130 million and probably 140 million votes cast.
Of the 120.5M, McCain got 6 million fewer votes than Bush did in 2004 and Obama got 5 million more votes than Kerry did in 2004.
Of those extra 5 million for Obama, it looks like 2.5 million came from net undecideds breaking for Obama and 2.5 million in new Democrat voters.
Of the 6 million less for McCain, about 2.5 million is accounted for by the net 2.5 million undecideds he lost and as many as 3.5 million Republicans staying home.
My undecided numbers are based on the polls saying that 11% were undecided going into the last week of the election - 11% of 120.5 is 13.25 million, with 60% breaking Obama and 40% breaking McCain, the 20% differential is about 2.5 million.
So two myths were shattered:
(1) On the left, the myth that turnout would be up 17% was completely wrong - so far the numbers say turnout was down slightly.
(2) On the right, the myth that Clinton voters would vote McCain in protest was completely wrong - Obama got almost the exact same percentage of Democrat voters that Kerry got.
Governor Palin energized the base, but not enough.
My final observation is that many GOP voters may have stayed home in states like mine (New Jersey) where they knew McCain had no shot at winning, while Democrats in states like mine were excited and motivated to run up the score for Obama even though the state results were a foregone conclusion.
In the key states that McCain lost but needed to take: FL, VA, NC, OH, IN he lost by an average of 2.5% of the vote, versus the 6.25% he lost by nationally. GOP turnout was not as depressed in those key states.
Yeah. Good thing that nasty rumor comes from such reliable sources!
* eye roll *
I sat there with my mouth agape listening to Cameron last night. Screw those people who thought Sarah was beneath them. Next time, she’ll have her own damn people who think she hung the moon. Can’t wait, Sarah!
Now it all makes sense!
obama copied clinton and ran to the center.
mccain copied dole except for the last two days.
palin was the draw.
she needs to do gravitas building to make her media proof.

OH AND BY THE WAY!
WOUlD A SPECIAL ELECTIO ALLOW PALIN TO TAKE THE SENATE SEAT IN TIME FOR THE NEXT CONGRESSIONAL SESSION?
SHE WOULD BE A MEDIA DIMINISHER FOR THE OBAMA(TAXES) INAGURATION!
Mitt needs to be smart.
He can use his energies to rebuild the conservative base and have an infrastructure to build a lasting majority.
Obama is about Obama.
McCain alone had crowds in the thousands.
Palin alone had crowds in the tens of thousands.
McCain had to appear with palin to get crowds. That reality had to hit him. Time for him to respectfully turn some of that graciousness to the conservatives of the party. Mrs. McCain should help him see the light unless she is happy Obama(taxes) is in office.
As someone who is represented in both the House and Senate by two just reelected RINO members of congress, (Graham and Inglis) I'm beginning to agree with your idea. We just need to make sure we take people like Senator Jim DeMint with us.
why don’t you just take over your local republican club/party?
they are disorganized,
they are vulnerable,
obviously they are inadequate,
you could easily move in and take over.
I smell RAT infiltrators in the McCain/Palin campaign. Alinsky would be proud.
Explain please.
Who are the "certain" people?
What is the "why" that causes them to push her?
And don't send me a link about low turnout in Ohio. That isn't Palin's fault, but even if it were, it doesn't explain the conspiracy theory reference in your post.
Put up or shut up.
That's the truth with a capital "T"!
We need a new party, just like when the GOP was formed from the useless Whig party in 1854.
We conservatives have had the football pulled away from us by Lucy one too many times.
BTW--say hello to the lovely and talented Mrs. Don-O for me.
