"He was positioning himself with Palin at the expense of John McCain's campaign message," said one of the aides.

So what exactly was John McCain's campaign message, anyway?

He didn’t have one. It’s his aides fault.

But they want to be hired again in the future. So they want to be able to say “Palin’s fault,” not their own.

The PATHWAY TO CONCESSION seems to be all he was running on. Payback for the GOP picking Bush in 2000 as his actions since have demonstrated.

Country First. How quickly they forget. Perhaps you missed the part about keeping our national defense guard up, drilling for natural resources instead of being over the Arab Oil barrel, and cutting spending, which made planned tax cuts feasible.

Be senatorial and tell everyone how qualified you are over and over and refuse to get down and dirty with a socialist who knows no such boundries and hence lose.

Citizen: “I’m mad! With those clowns Reid and Pelosi up there—we ought to have our head examined!!!”

Sad Grampa: “I hear your anger. That’s why I’m going to go back and reach across the aisle to Reid and Pelosi, as you have just asked me to do!”
