One of the aides tells CNN that campaign manager Rick Davis fired Scheunemann after determining that he had been in direct contact with journalists spreading "disinformation" about campaign aides, including Nicolle Wallace and other officials.

"He was positioning himself with Palin at the expense of John McCain's campaign message," said one of the aides.

Neither of them has an ounce of loyalty for the party that brought them to the dance.

The article said — “He was positioning himself with Palin at the expense of John McCain’s campaign message,” said one of the aides.

Well, McCain had nothing. It was Palin who had it all...

“Backbiting!!!”

Yep, human beings are prone to it. Particularly when they think there’s something to gain. I would think these Republican politicos would show a little more class and grace than to start ratting out their co-workers to the news media.

I just sent this to Senator McCain.

Dear Senator McCain,

I made calls for you, knocked on doors for you, argued for your support, and voted for you, but if what I am hearing online and in the news is true, that some of your staff is trashing Governor Palin, I will have lost all respect for you. If you have some rogue a**holes working for you, as all businesses have, you need to come out very publicly and praise and support Sarah, since you already did that for Obama. Sir, please keep, the ultimate respect, that I have for you, intact.

Thank you,

FReeper Fedupjohn

Maybe he knew that aligning with Palin was the winning strategy where the others were busy trashing her behind even McCain's back?

I was just watching Cameron on O’Reilly’s show just a minute ago. I gather this guy was a pro-palin guy. So good for him.

They’re trying to trash Sarah out of the running just like they did Rick and George. Sarah wasn’t as bad as George, and I still don’t know why Rick bowed out other than the left frickin’ hated him.

Actually I do — couldn’t raise money. That’s the only reason any of these people bow out.

What Sarah needs to do now, I think, is write a book. I think she has the capacity to raise a LOT of money, and that MAKES her a player. THAT is how you force your way onto the scene.

And she should never play second fiddle to anyone ever again.

He was Trent Lott’s National Security Aide and was an advisor to U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Iraq

During 1996, Mr. Scheunemann was a senior adviser to Republican Presidential Candidate Bob Dole.

******

Randy Scheunemann is a foreign policy and national security analyst based in Washington D.C. In 2002, he founded the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq (CLI) to promote freedom for the Iraqi people. He served as pro bono President and Executive Director of CLI until its mission was completed in 2003.

In 2001, Scheunemann served as a consultant to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. From 1999-2000, Scheunemann served as Defense and Foreign Policy Coordinator for the “McCain 2000” presidential campaign. During 1996, Mr. Scheunemann was a senior adviser to Republican Presidential Candidate Bob Dole and served on the 1996 Republican Platform Committee. Previously, Mr. Scheunemann served as National Security Adviser to Senate Republican and Majority Leaders Bob Dole and Trent Lott from 1993-99.

******

USA Today reports on the lobbying career of John McCain’s top foreign policy adviser Randy Scheunemann, noting that Schuenemann “lobbied the Arizona senator’s staff on behalf of the republic of Georgia while he was working for the campaign”

Agree, and while I doubt we’ll ever know the real truth, I think we can all judge people on their own merit and in that test, Sarah Palin is going to have credibility over any career political aide.

O’Reilly had this big tease going and finally puts Carl Cameron out who is positively drooling with all the juicy tidbits he’s dredged up about Palin being nasty, a shop-a-holic, didn’t know Africa was a continent not a country, etc ad nauseum. I don’t care. And Carl Cameron and his McCain campaign pals can go blow it out their collective asses.

Notice that this Palin crucifixion is coming directly from the McCain people

NOT from Huckabee people

NOT from Romney people

NOT from Rudy’s people

It’s the McCain loyalists trying to suck back up to the MSM. Whores and cretins.
