If the likes of Buchanan had their way I think we’d have been at war anyway, but here instead of there.

The war in Iraq was not only not a mistake, it was the only logical and moral choice. And yes, it ~was~ about WMD the whole time and rightfully so.

And... for anybody that thinks the war has been poorly fought: Name for me one campaign in the history of warfare that has accomplished as much with so relatively few casualties— on both sides.

I haven’t agreed with everything he’s done, but then I didn’t agree with everything Reagan did either. I think Reagan was clearly one of the greats. Time will tell, but I think President Bush will be treated more kindly by history than he has been now.

And you can bank on this: Obama will be a wartime president too whether he wishes it or not. With any luck, his wars will be overseas too. May they go as well. Because they could go much, much worse.

I agree we have been physically safer domestically thus far because we took the fight to their turf, but if we had to surrender on every domestic issue during the last 8 years save the courts and tax cuts, and we will have to surrender on every issue for the next 8 to 12 years, then the safety wasn't worth it. Better to have a dirty bomb in Manhattan than what we got.

This war was fought to maintain the oil infrastructure in the Mideast. The pretext of establishing democracy in Arab counties is an outright lie. Islam and democracy are incompatible. The weapons of mass destruction are a red herring. The war was carried out so that western globalists could plant their presence right in the middle of Islam to control it. It's a permanent theater. Look at the map and you will see that Islam is cut in two with our occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. Jim Baker and his lawyers, global oil barons, global construction companies, mercenary firms, and Arab dictators all made huge profits from this venture.

America could easily have carried out punitive aerial campaigns to punish Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia. The risk to our soldiers lives would be much less. The cost to destroy their infrastructure would have been far less costly than destroying it, occupying them, and then rebuilding their infrastructure. We are just about bankrupt.

Qaddafi got the message from just one nightime aerial raid.

This politically correct war where we risk our soldiers by rules of engagement and limiting collateral damage has not won any admiration from our friends. It emboldens our enemies. It's stupid. It's immoral to subject our soldiers to these conditions. We should have brutally punished Islam. In one month we could have given Muslims a month of Hell. They would understand that.
