This puts the Californian in a direct conflict with Energy and Commerce Chairman John Dingell (Mich.), the dean of the House and a long-time Waxman rival, for the top spot of one of the most powerful committees in Congress.
Did Michigan go red yesterday? I haven’t seen results for that state.
I suppose Dingell believes that coal has a part in providing energy in the future, certainly Waxman does not.
Remind me again...what’s the difference?
Michigan is blue, more so over the past few years since so many workers and professionals have fled the state.
Dingell’s district includes Ford. It IS Ford. Dingell has been an advocate for the automotive industry, who butters his bread. Waxman would pile more emissions standards on the not-so-Big Three and sucks up to the environmentalist wackos.
Obama’s fault.

Dingell does not think destroying the auto industry in the US is a good idea, Waxman does. It’s all about the money the Democrats can get from the AGW hoax. Dingell does not believe in the hoax, says it’s not true.
A perfect example of overreach — You go guys, duke it out kill those union jobs off. At least the ones that will be left after this weeks layoffs.
