Jews have tremendous talents in law, medicine, business, the arts, science, and engineering - in all areas of human life except one. Their contributions to this country and and the world are staggering, but, unfortunately, Jews lack any sort of instinct for politics/government,
Although individual Jews frequently serve with distinction, I've never been able to understand this strange blindness that seems to afflict Jews as a group.
This political myopia is particularly mysterious given the fact that they are the proverbial canary in a coal mine. Just as the canary dies when the air turns foul, Jews are the first victims of political instability. Jews should have developed the sharpest political instincts of any group, but they haven't.
Sooner or later (and probably sooner) American Jews are going to face the consequences of their folly. It is unlikely that any action will be taken against them as US citizens, but that which they love - Israel - is going to be put through the wringer.
Sad, very sad.

Jews lack any sort of instinct for politics/government.You know, I can't disagree with that. Even the Israelis keep electing people like Peres and Olmert. If they had any political sense, they'd keep someone like Netanyahu in charge.
Then again, look what we just did. Any predictions re al-Qaida and the Taliban versus our vulnerability ?
