There is a reflexive xenophobic/racist current that is currently running in the party, and has been for some time. We have nothing to fear from immigration, especially from a group that has a long a passionate Judeo/Christian ethic. Unless this addressed, the GOP is destined to be a opposition party for a long, long time.

Somewhere along the line FReepers forgot that there is a difference between legal immigrants and illegal immigrants. That is what will kill our party.
The legal immigrants voted against us because of how we felt about their family members. Reagan knew better, some here do not.
