Not at all. The vote I cast, along with a lot of other Republicans in Alaska, was for the sake of the party. It was not an endorsement of Stevens, who will get tossed from the senate. Then the governor, who is a Republican, can appoint a Republican replacment. If Stevens hadn't been reelected, we'd be stuck with a Democrat.
As I say, since there are no more rules, I’d like Sarah to nominate me to replace Stevens. Since senators live in Washington anyway, who cares if I’m from Ohio?

Thank God you have an electorate that could clearly think this through. I can’t imagine Alaskan’s were too happy with the treatment of their great Governor either.
