For all the hype, blacks are only 12% of the population and cannot swing an election even at 100% turnout. They always vote at least 90% Democratic so they contributed little incrementally to Obama’s victory. It was women, college students and guilty white libs, the usual suspects. What defeated McCain was losing the Jewish vote in FL and blue collar voters in the rustbelt states of IN, PA and OH along with the DC area overspill into N. VA. Had he carried those states he would have won.
