I don’t disagree with that, but when Clinton was elected we did not yet know how shamelessly self-serving he was.
I don’t know yet what the dynamic between Obama and the Democratic Congress will be, and what tensions may arise because of the Congressional Black Caucus. I don’t know what external events will intervene and disrupt their plans. I don’t know what conservative leaders will arise.
What I am saying is that we can’t just passively wait for those leaders. We have to be those leaders.
I know he is a socialist. I know it very well. But I am not going to curl up and suck my thumb, and I don’t think you will either. I am rolling up my sleeves because we have a to off work to do. And I am also trusting in Divine Providence that the currents of history which brought this man to office will not necessarily bring his plans to fruition.
HA....my husband and I had TWO ballots each...since we moved from Washington to Oregon....one was forwarded to us via our UPS account.....we COULD have voted TWICE, and I bet no one would have known....the system is broken.
Sorry, but what is AIP?
Alaskan Independence Party
BUSH should slip them a few nukes. I’ve been saying for years that we should have quietly armed Taiwan with nukes two decades ago.
It won’t just be money sent THERE. Our Dear Leader will open the borders so they can come HERE - he’ll never leave office, ever.
Maybe you should’ve.
Who would stop you?
“The poll watchers”?
I keep thinking of the old Gospel song;
“God, I am weary; let me rest”
:(
1. With $1 trillion in bank guarantees and associated deficit, he cannot increase spending much in a down economy. Our federal spending is based on the ability to sell US treasury bonds. If we have no takers from Japan or China, the bonds will have no value. That will directly convert to inflation.
So Obama will be constrained in how much he can spend. A little on the edges, and some moving around of funding, but not much change the first year.
2. The conditions in the world will also dictate how much we can retreat from our position as primary world power. Obama is not so dumb that he would risk a major defeat at the beginning of his presidency. He would never recover. And if Israel attacks Iran, he will have no choice but to support Israel.
3. I honestly think he will be thoroughly discredited even before he takes office. There is no “there” there. While he can avoid scrutiny of his words and background in a campaign, he has no where to hide over the next 3 months. He has hidden his real feelings and agenda very well in the swirl of the campaign, with the MSM doing the cover for him.
Something will come out that is so hard to spin, that he will enter office as a crippled politician, and the American people will not trust anything he says from that point on.
You can't hide your true identity very long, and the Country's disillusion will happen very quickly to someone with so little experience and even less capacity to tell the truth. People will stop listening to Obama by early March, and he will not be able to rally the public to his side. He may try to force some things through Congress, but his approval ratings will drop from that point on. Without some public support, you will not succeed.
“The poll watchers?” HA....they are ABSENTEE Ballots....all of OREGON is mandatory ABSENTEE ballot!
The Socialists picked him and paid for him.
The media pimped him.
ACORN got him enough votes.
Nothing will be done about it.
America is dead.
They can always print more money... not smart, and a huge inflationary push... but it is an option if they have some political need to meet.

I don't know... the Left seems to relish US military defeats. You'll note the LBJ didn't suffer much from Vietnam.
And if Israel attacks Iran, he will have no choice but to support Israel.
"No choice"? I beg to differ. I think Obama will be happy to let them twist in the wind. It's the populist way out. They'll even cast it as an example of Obama respecting Washington's warning about foreign entanglements. He doesn't need Israel, and the UN will dance a jig if they can get rid of that huge thorn in their side.
People will stop listening to Obama by early March,
They won't need to. Pelosi and Reid will pass all the bills. Obama needs needs to rubber stamp them, and make more pretty speeches that make the MSM swoon. The MSM desperately wants another Camelot to fawn over, and now they have it. They don't need oBama to use the bully pulpit... they just need him to smile and make empty platitudes.
OK. I may be optimistic and you may be right on some of this. But I still am expecting that some things about Obama will come out in the next two months. He will not be able to hide everything that has been suppressed during the campaign. Too much media looking at one person with a lot to hide. I honestly believe that the rhetoric and glamour will wear off, and people will realize he can’t be trusted in anything he says.
And if anything really outrageous is proposed against the will of 48% of the citizens, expect to see permanent rallies outside the White House. He will look like an embattled President and that will drive down the initiatives of the Dem Congress.
Remember Immigration Reform. Things will get a lot louder when the public realizes there is no one in Washington to stop these plans.
