Try the fixes JR suggested - change your number of items shown to 20 (Under Account, then Preferences). Then reduce the sidebar items shown to just the ones you want (Under Blocks).

It’s much faster for me now with those changes.

I followed JimRob's advice on the link below... it helped a little, but FR is still frustratingly slow... >:-(
