National Review ^

Exit Polls Are Out. Don't Celebrate Yet.
Gawker has the first round of state exit poll numbers. I know I said I was going to be skeptical either way, but looks like we're in for a late night.
Obama by 4 in Pennsylvania, by 2 in Virginia, trailing by 2 in North Carolina, leading by 1 in Florida, leading by 1 in Ohio.
"Don't get cocky."

Nope. No way is this a squeaker. McCain’s winning. Or they’d’ve called it for Barry by now.

Still too close for comfort.

These are “exit polls?”
Pubs don’t talk to pollsters...
can it really be a McCain blowout?

Hmmm
Damn. I hope McCain can pull it out in all those states.
Exit polling at 5PM still not taking into consideration the work crowd, and only going by who is talking to them.

These would be the faux exit poll numbers — the equivalent of those faux Kerry numbers from four years ago.
I think this is more of a good thing than a bad thing. :)

# Landslide victory for McCain Saturday, September 20, 2008 5:38:11 PM · 8 of 88 gorush to nikos1121
I have always said that McCain would win easily and that I wouldnt vote for him. The choice of Palin made me decide to vote for McCain. Ive heard a couple of McCains recent speeches...if he keeps talking I may go back to my original position.

Ignore exit polls. Ace of Spades reports that minorities/blacks being polled 4 to 1 over other voters. That is right 4 to 1. Exit polls flawed. Take that to the bank.
This means McCain blowout IMO. Vote. Vote and vote. Let us bury them.

Drudge has a headline that Obama is up 15% in PA and says “Dems see 58 Senators” That tells me he is getting (inaccurate) leaked Dem exit polling.
To: Chet 99
We just have to have PA, we just have to.

I am guessing that those numbers are not high enough to be good numbers for Obama, at all.

Drudge is reporting that early exit polls have Obama winning Pennsylvania by more than 15 points.

If we learned anything from 2004, it is that exit polls are absolute garbage. I will take a bit of comfort in the fact that they are much, much closer this election than they were in 2004.

Drudge has exit poll with Obama up 15 in Penn. Up by 4 in this exit poll. Proves how worthless they are.

Or theydve called it for Barry by now. There'd be more chatter, but they wouldn't call it. Not until 7:01, at any rate.

To: Ikemeister
The 15% is BS. It’s the 4% that I’m worried about.

Exit polls are loaded with Dem voters are certainly wrong. It not a predictor of the election results tonight. We have to wait til all the votes are counted before we know who has won a state or that matter - the election. IGNORE THEM AND GO OUT AND VOTE!
