Pennyslvania Governor: Voter turnout looks good- but not as high as he hoped in Philadelphia
Philly.com ^ | 11/04/2008 | Chris Brennan

Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell told reporters this afternoon that he is "optimistic, but by no means overconfident" about Barack Obama's chances in the state.

Speaking at the city political establishment's annual luncheon at the Famous 4th Street Deli in Queen Village, Rendell said that voter turnout "looks to be good all over the state," and is "going to be very good" in Philadelphia - although not as high as he had hoped.

“If McCain wins PA, I think he will win the whole thing. I think PUMA Power is going to be bigger than anyone can predict.”

EXACTLY but.....it will take awhile for the vote to turn because Lancaster and the rural counties in Western PA take alot of time to report.....midnight or after. I have watched this since 1980.

O needs 125% turnout in filthydelphia. Without that, McCain wins PA.

The black panthers were there to keep white voters from the polls.

Look for Nation of Islam thugs to be prowling the precints after dark.

An Obama loss of PA can be traced to coal, socialism, the Nitally Lions and the Steelers' win!

McCain “way behind”, Blah, blah, blah, bla........

As I recall, they were pretty glum in 2004, because the polls showed Jean Francois winning.

McCain takes PA, McCain taking the White House is 100%, because he won’t just take PA.

The problems Fauxbama has on the ground in PA spread across the entire rust belt, He loses PA, he will lose at least one more of the following WI,MN or MI.

He wins PA, then OH, VA, FL, MO, etc are all completely safe.

And in case you haven’t heard, PA’s going McCain.

Yeah, those Black Panthers trying to intimidate white folks will depress turnout in Philly.

Y’all need to get conceal carry. Shenanigans like that don’t happen in states where people carry guns.

“PA going McCain”

I hope so my friend. Nothing would surprise me with those Philly Rats but I do know Rendall will not be bullied ie allow PA to become another Florida spectacle.

Your analysis of running the table if PA goes red is correct Sir!!!

Wow. If we pick off PA, we will have completed the greatest electoral comeback in modern US history.

My apologizes to all you posters who called me a troll and especially to the one who reminded me how badly I failed. I flunked the first two exams at Troll School and they told me to practice at Free Republic... Just kidding, it’s sarcasm.

Guys,

I served for 20 years in the Navy and am a proud patriot. I have never voted Democratic and despise everything the left stands for.

I am an ardent pro-lifer, just like Sarah Palin.

Sorry for the misunderstanding but I am really despondent about this election. If McCain pulls out a victory tonight, trust me, I won’t be posting negative for a while.

Oh yeah, forgot to tell you, I’m a big gun rights guy and think all gun laws should be abolished and, yes, I mean exactly that. If the bad guys are armed, I need to be also.

Today I voted for John McCain and so did my wife.

Rendell’s in the bag for Hillary, he won’t let PA become FL. He does Hillary’s bidding, not Fauxbamas. He is a rat, he fought to get Military ballots thrown out in FL in 2000, etc etc etc.. nothing is beneath him if it serves his cause. Fauxbama is not his cause.

PA’s going Mccain, and by a good margin. I still stand by McCain not only taking PA, but taking it by a larger margin than either Kerry or Gore carried the state by.

I don’t expect a squeaker here. A month ago, I would have told you PA is going McCain, but not by a large margin, but with the momentum he has, and the campaign Fauxbama has run over the last few weeks, little doubt McCain will take PA comfortably.

Fast Eddie, the governor of Philadelphia can fix that by waking the dead as he usually does.

Gov. Ed Rendell said he was "optimistic but not overconfident" about the outcome in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania today. Rendell pulled up outside the Famous Deli at about 1:30 pm in a blue bus emblazoned with the words "On the Road to Change." He has been touring the region stumping for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama. Rendell predicted a win for Obama in Pennsylvania, but perhaps not as big a victory as the polls suggest. He thinks Obama will win by 5 or 6 points. "I think we'll come out of Philadelphia, the suburbs and the Lehigh Valley with enough of a lead that we won't get caught statewide," Rendell said.

“If McCain pulls this off,

I’m going to have to suppress my urge for

“celebratory gunfire””

Sigh of relief is more appropriate. A McCain presidency, while not as bad as Obama, will be no picnic for conservatism.
