Saw a black girl on TV this morning saying “Obama’s gonna’ fill my gas tank and pay my mortgage. I help him and he help me.” I’m serious. Gonna’ be a lot of disappointed black folks in a few years ‘cause this won’t happen. If they try it we’ll all stop work and get in line with the rest of them.

Wanda Sykes says she’s supporting Obama, but she admits there is a downside to his winning the election. “I’m worried, because if [Obama] wins, black people are going to have to come up with another excuse. You can’t blame the man when you are the man.”
