Why Obama Will Lose Today

...polls have concluded almost unanimously that Obama will sweep to victory, fundamental problems remain for the Obama campaign with the base of Democratic voters. Since Obama's problems from the primaries have not been resolved, nor reported in the national media, the Electoral College map signals trouble for the media's main man.

Throughout the primaries, Obama never garnered significant support from four of the major groups within the Democratic base. Union members, women, older voters, and Jewish voters all were Hillary Clinton supporters in significant numbers. Although the national media did focus on the disgruntled female supporters of Clinton in the lead-up to the Democratic National Convention in Denver, they dropped the issue after Obama won the nomination.

However, the media's short attention span has not solved the problem for the man whose pastor of 20 years still gives many Americans pause. Additionally, very little has been written or aired about the lack of support for Obama with older voters, Jewish voters, and union members. The assumption that the 25 million people who voted for Clinton and the rest of the Democratic candidates now have Obama yard signs will prove to be a fatal mistake for the media and Howard Dean.

Now, I admit that the majority of the members of these groups ultimately will end up voting for the Democratic nominee, but the slightest amount of slippage in the percentage of these voters means Obama will not have the support the media and the polls assume he has.

And this is no small problem. Since Obama has not united the Democratic Party the way Sarah Palin helped McCain unite the Republican Party, the 44th president of the United States will be John S. McCain.

Spot on. And how sweet it will be! I predict a “temper tantrum” (media-speak for when conservatives get out and vote) of 1994 proportions.

I agree. Obama is the candidate a ‘vast majority’ supported and yet, nobody voted for.

The incredibly skewed polls mask the fact that Obama does not have the Democrat base locked up. He is losing rural Dems and Hillary Dems who voted for Kerry in ‘04.

The big story of ‘08 is how the media allowed themselves to be pimped by the Obama campaign. Naturally, a McCain victory tonight will be reported as ‘America is not ready for a black president (or, the US is a mean, nasty, and racist country).’ Nevermind the possibility that a majority of Americans don’t share the guy’s radical left wing Marxist views.

I am more or less through kidding myself. I think Obama skates to victory today. I’m switching on the bunker mentality. Viva la revolution! (The Republican Revolution).

Oh, a media temper tantrum will be the least of the things we face with a McCain win. Gird yourself for riots. I wouldn't want to be in downtown Chicago tonight...

I think its fun thinking of these scenarios where McCain actually wins. And hey, it IS possible. I think its highly likely that O wins tonight, my hope is that McCain can keep it relatively close, thats why I think its important for every McCain supporter to vote, even in states that are deep blue.

I am not being pessimistic, I enthusiastically plan to go voting later tonight after work. This is fun for me at this point. We can do the post mortem (on the Campaign, or the Media) later.

To those who insist the polls are all wrong, hey, maybe, just maybe, you are correct. History of SOME sort will be made tonight..

Dewey beats Screwy. I can only hope that Murphy’s law will prevail and what everyone expects to happen will turn out to be quite the contrary. This preordained coronation is begging for let down.

Fear an Obama win - he’s a pathological narcissist: http://westernrifleshooters.blogspot.com/2008/11/understanding-obama-making-of-fhrer.html

It is a LONG article, but I pray that the American people have woken up to his lies, to the unfounded infatuation of his minions, and vote in McCain. McCain won’t destroy this country, won’t turn everything on its head - but a pathological narcissist in charge of the world’s most powerful armed forces, with the full weight of the federal government’s law enforcement agencies, and with 250,000-500,000 members of his proposed “civilian security force” (or whatever - it spells “SD” to me) is a thoroughly frightening prospect to me.

Please read the article, and please pass it on to anyone you know who is undecided and hasn’t yet voted.

See #13. Obama is more like Mao - and a bunch of other horrendous dictators - than you or I would like to know. I hope and pray that we never get to find out.

Trust in God, he rules the Nation. I made calls today for McCain in PA and only had 1 hang up in 50 calls, about 15 answering machines and most of the rest already voted or will vote for McCain. I took it as some good news though only 50 calls made so far.

I know at least three die-hard democrats (one even believes that Bush took down the twin towers) who voted McCain. One has never ever voted for a Republican before. He hemed and hawed, one day saying he'd sit it out, one day saying he'd vote McCain. He came in last week and said he'd early voted for McCain.

If he can't even carry the Kerry votes,he is history.

PS And so is the MSM !

Since Obama has not united the Democratic Party

Wishful thinking.

Aside from the few sad PUMAs dragged out for press interviews, that's just what Obama has done.
