Its an indication their side isn't seeing a landslide. They wouldn't resort to fraud in Philly if it was really over. I'm sure there's more going on all over the country that we don't see, which will only become apparent later on tonight.

One more thing

There were several McCain/Palin signs outside of the polling
area, not even one Obama/Biden sign there at noon.

When I walked back to my car, a man was putting up 1 Obama sign.

Obama supporters must have run out of signs or something.

Like another poster said, my estimation of Hillary has risen with the quality of her supporters. Let’s rock on!

Hubby and I already voted early this morning for McCain-Palin. I haven’t been so excited about a politician ever as I have been about Sarah Palin!

Awesome post, TeacupQueen.

I am very impressed with the PUMA support in this election. Yes, Country First.

CHICAGO -- Even as Obama cast his vote this morning to symbolize the end of his presidential campaign, some of the old ghosts of the last year continued to stalk him. Moments before Obama cast his ballot at Precinct 24, Ward 4 near his home in Hyde Park, Bill Ayers -- an Obama associate, a former terrorist and a hazardous connection for the campaign -- walked out of the same polling location.

And not long after Obama left with his wife, Michelle and their two daughters, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan entered the building.

For all Obama knew, more memories from the last year waited behind him. As he left the building early this morning, the voting line stretched for more than a block, barely moving.

Tennessee reporting in. We are a mostly red state, but here in Nashville a lot of liberals and dems. My precinct was very full long lines, but worth it to vote.

Remind anyone who is considering avoiding the lines - please remember our soldiers in harms way and the sacrifices they make for freedom...

DO YOUR PART AND GET OUT THE VOTE

We always go to our local volunteer fire dept to vote at about 11:00 AM. Usually we are the only ones in line at that time, as it is after the breakfast gang and before the lunch hour.

Today, there were 10 people in line! We were shocked. We asked out poll workers, and at 11:00 AM, 20% of our precinct had already voted, and they said it was a record.

There are only 768 registered voters in our precinct, by the way. We are rural upstate NY.

I voted early in Greensboro, NC on Saturday. Took 2-1/2 hours and the lines hadn’t decreased when I left. There were less than 12 voting machines in the location which is a nice burb - in a country club actually. No kids in the lines, somewhat racially mixed, but no gangsta types. Drove past four voting locations in the lower income housing areas this morning. Didn’t seem particularly busy at any of them - empty parking places, no lines. Raining here, chilly (you know for Southerners).

Los Angeles. I’m in a highly Democrat part of LA so I haven’t seen a lot of signs for McCain but I have heard some talk of people voting for him, especially after Obama snubbed Hillary for VP. Our district went for Clinton by a large margin. I have a feeling the handful of Obama yard signs are not indicative of how people here will vote.

This is one interesting election.

For those of you who have been following my prediction of a McCain-Palin landslide, here is my latest take. This article was posted yesterday on Real Clear Politics and resulted in over 25,000 hits on my website. It was cross posted on a half dozen more. I am going to copy in the tables from that article that have now been updated using today's averages shown in the no toss up map page at real clear politics. I have posted this article on real clear politics...

Here's my report from Manhattan:

After running in to my McCain-supporting neighbors (yes, you read that right), I head off to vote. It's so crowded but on the third attempt, I decide to just get on line and wait no matter how long it takes. Next to me is a man with his little girl. She is asking her daddy a million questions about voting, why it is taking so long and who he is voting for. Dad replies--McCain.

Thrilled, I tell her that like her daddy, I am voting for McCain and that we are probably the only ones on the long line. Dad smiles and says that I'd be surprised at how many he knows who are also voting for McCain. Remember, this is NYC. We parted like old friends.

Just stopped in to church to say my rosary and there were lots of folks praying and lighting candles. I just made a bunch of calls for McCain/Palin...all very nice folks who said we can count on their vote. Oh, and Rush thinks PA will go to Mac. Keep the faith, FRiends!

If the turnout is heavy south of NOVA and in the Shenandoah Valley, McCain will take the state.

I’d take out a second mortgage on the house and buy drinks statewide if all the PUMAs swung CA over to McCain.

Well, I’d do that after I got up after passing out from disbelief.

Well just got back from voting during my lunch hour here in Southern Mississippi.

Did my part to ruin "that one's" big celebration party in Grant park.

Also wanted to make sure that ol' Ronnie Musgrove (who was a lousy Gov) doesn't have a chance to screw us in the Senate.

I was talking to one of the poll workers and she mentioned that there had been lines around the building most of the morning. Now that might not seem like much, but it is considering we are in a rural area of the county and our precinct is also out in the country somewhat. I remember during 2000/2004/2006 elections that the turnout in our are was average in 00 & 04 and rather anemic in 06, so this year's turnout is a very significant increase so far. Also, we are a very "red" voting area from past elections as most folks here are hard working farmers or laborers and are not the "gimmee" types. Take it for what it's worth!

I really want to wake up tomorrow to hear the phrase President elect McCain and Vice-President elect Palin!

Prayers up!
