To All PUMAs.
As a life-long conservative, I would just like to thank you all for your principled vote against Barack Obama. At this point in time, none of us knows what the day holds; but, even though I would never vote for her, I agree as do many Freepers, that Hillary was 'done wrong.'
We will likely fight you tooth and nail in 2012, regardless who our candidate is (hopefully Sarah); but, our hope is that if and when we win this election that this adminstration will show the world such respectable leadership that any thoughts of an Obama return will be but a distant memory. We look forward to taking on Hillary in 2012.
In the mean time, we ask that along with your vote you vote for a Republican congress. Some of our congress-critters even get on our nerves; but, they beat Reid-Pelosi. The new administration can not positively affect this nation if those two still retain their bully pulpits. So, help us send them down to minority status again, and then work with us to fix the economic woes and repair the divisive politics of the last 8 years.
We're not perfect. You're not perfect. But this year, we welcome you to the side of the right (even if it is just a smidge over center).
McCain already has the Christian vote and it doesn’t seem to make much difference. You need votes from the other side to seal the deal.

Not unlike many FReepers who have stated they will hold their noses and vote for Sen. McCain just to stop Obama.
Everyone has a point of view - no-one except the Obama fanatics has a perfect candidate. You work with what you have.
But let's not be blind to whom we're dealing with and what their intentions will be for McCain, Palin, republicans and conservatives should the door open for Hillary in 2012.

Perhaps not as a *group* - but reading individual PUMA posts are very encouraging. Some have a new appreciation for Rush and Hannity and quite a few PUMAs are giving the GOP a new, fresh look. Theirs is an awakening to the direction of the DEM party which they do not like!
Small steps - but heading the right way.

Hillary could have shown true courage by going Independent like Joe Lieberman. Her supporters are still trying desperately to find excuses for her continued promotion of Obama.
She may never get some of them back if she runs in 2012.

I have never seen Hillary laughing with truer mirth ever, than at that Al Smith dinner when McCain called her out as secretly supporting him! She was genuinely tickled, and you know that the best comedy has an element of truth in it. I bet she and Bill turned in Dem ballots for McCain today.

I honestly believe many Hillary supporters will leave the DEM party permanently - witnessing the treatment HRC received was just the beginning of their disgust.
Why should Rush apologize to PUMAS for encouraging people to cross party lines to vote for Hillary?
If anything PUMAs should be thanking Rush for supporting their candidate during the primaries and they are now supporting the GOP candidate during the general election.
The PUMAS just may help swing the election for McCain.

Hmmm, not so. Most of the responses coming in are responding to post #1. You see few responses from people that have gone through the thread and I believe this is because people have seen the alternative opinion and realize their mistake.
As for not wanting to thank the PUMA’s, I did so above, I just didn’t slobber while doing it. Are you reading your own thread?
