Voted in RED North AL near Huntsville AL with Redstone Arsenal and NASA. We walked in and out in less than 3 minutes. We didn’t go until 10:30 and were #760 & #761.

FWIW if it goes that way, while becoming a Canadian citizen is not an option for us (conservatives are fighters, not fleers, and my family has been in America since Colonial times), I'm not above buying things there, at least while the current duty policies apply - and while free passage to and from Canada is still permitted. I'm not talking souvenirs, I'm talking groceries and staples. If Obama wins, despite Canada's many problems we would be more closely ideologically aligned with Canadian leadership. That would help chastise the local state and U.S. economy and send a message. And yes, I use the word "chastise" quite deliberately.

They can vote with bumper stickers, rah-rah emotion; we can vote with our wallets.

As promised, I went by the precinct where my husband is chief judge to see if anyone wanted lunch from Wendy’s or McDonalds. We live in a blue precinct in small town NC. 50% of our precinct voted early vote. My husband is a Rep, and as such shouldn’t be chief judgeas it is tied to party of the governor. The BoE can;t get a dem to do it, so asked my husband. Anyway he said the had a good number of people early this AM and irt had been spotty since. I was there at 1:15. BTW it is drizzling here, 55degrees and wet, pretty yucky.

I have a pan of brownies in the oven to take back up there later on.

1) GOP districts- heavy turnout -that is good

2) Democrap districts- light turnout -that is also good

However it is just now getting to be 2PM and so most of the democraps are probably just waking up.

OK. Last week I filled out my absentee ballot, put it in the envelope, stuck a stamp on it and marched it out to the mailbox, inserted it into the mailbox and put the little red flag thingie up. Pretty exciting! (I live in WA, where most voting is done by mail).

Voted in East Hartford, CT, early this morning, high turnout. Many minorities, older folks.

I voted early for McCain/Palin at the Vet’s Memorial in Columbus, Ohio.

But I live in the country. And I have not seen even one obama sign anywhere in a 10 mile radius of my house. Every sign I’ve seen around here is for McCain/Palin.

I just voted in-town Atlanta. I reckon it’s a purplish district (Morningside/Lindbergh South). We waited in line for 35 minutes to vote. Not too bad as it was thinning out after lunch. Poll workers told me that since early morning until about 12:30 there were at least 500 people in line and we timed it just right. Nothing out of the ordinary and the process was fairly efficient. We did have to present ID twice. McPalin was at the top of the ticket.

I live in a blue precinct (Sudley, Manassas) in a very red district (Gainsville) in NOVA. The line was very long and I had to wait 45 minutes to vote. Only 4 machines. A lot of minorities, several Bohemian looking whites, and quite a few whites too. There were several white women behind me. The Obamabot and Democrat poll workers approached them with literature and ballots which they all flatly refused. There were no polite smiles from these ladies and their reaction was turse. Very interesting observation.

Here in Mid-Mich. in and out in about 5 minutes. Got there about 1PM. Least amount of time ever spent waiting to vote in about 10 years, though the gals working there said in the morning it was pretty busy.

Very red precinct in OK. turnout was heavy but not as bad as 2004. But I voted earlier in the morning than 04. (8am vs 1pm). But there sure were a lot of Obama signs. we have no voting booths, only tables and chairs, and anyone could see that I voted for McCain. :)

I just got back from voting.

Although there were 20 - 30 peeps there, I did not stand in line.

I was asked for voters registration card and a drivers license.

Overall, I give it a 10 out of 10.

The wife and I got to the polls a half hour before they opened and there were 26 people in line already, by the time the polls opened there were about 80 people in line. Springvale, Maine, a purple village. It was as busy as I’ve seen it, and I’ve been voting here for 30 years.

Blue area, blue state. Voted straight Republican. Good chance none of my votes will be winners on the state/local level (go Sarah and the old white-haired guy!), but I made sure to vote to show solidarity with all you red staters.

When I came back Obama workers tried to follow me into our security conscious building. I threw them out. Told them they could call whoever they wanted on the telephone board, if someone let them in, it was that party's responsibility, but I wasn't letting them in the building.

OK, I live in WA state also and I will NEVER trust the Post Office to get my ballot to where it is supposed to go. I hear verified reports every election (it seems) that a month or two after the election is certified, ballots are found in some "corner" of the postal sorting facility, mostly in conservative areas. Yes, I would like the convenience of mail-in ballots, but abhor the security of it. If my precinct goes "main-in only" then I will fill it out and deliver it myself to the County elections office!!!

I am in a very mixed precinct and showed up at my normal 7am time right when the polls opened and I was in line for about 50 minutes. Wish I could get a solid read on Red/Blue support by my gut tells me that it was mostly Red.
