Well worth the time to read it.

I sense that the undercurrent of anger on both sides is red hot. In some ways this election convinces me that we are in parallel to that period of American history between 1750 and 1775. The writings are similar, the public comments are similar and direction we take will be decided in ways we don’t know.

We do, indeed, live in interesting times.

You may want to read a book called "The Fourth Turning". Written late last decade, it traces historical cycles and predicts that this decade will undergo a major crisis like the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, or the Depression that will change the face of history.
