The FOIA does not apply to the media.
People need to think hard and clearly about that.
If the media can cover up information, but the government can not,what does that tell us about “information”?

No, I do not think there is any reason to resurrect the “fairness doctrine”.
Yes, I think there is every reason to compell “media” to disclose their sources.

I doubt it. Everyone is beating on the LA Times' door to release it. Folks seem to forget that if the 'Times have a copy, there is almost certainly another copy out there somewhere!
