The Silent Majority [will settle the elction tomorrow]
Gulf1 ^ | 11/3/08 | Col. Robert L. Pappas, USMC ret.

The election which will be settled tomorrow is reminiscent of Robert Frost's poem, a poem that was both a lament and an adventure. On Tuesday over one hundred million voters will go to the polls and in the process will select John McCain as the next President of the United States. I hate to rain on Obama's parade but am struck that in the smugness of his dismissive arrogance, the political left believes its own lies. Lies that are so full of false pride as to call to memory the adage, "Pride goes before a fall." And fall they will. They obviously have not heard of the "Silent Majority," or the "Moral Majority," and they are about to find out.

There are a number of issues that if one is the least bit objective should cause the hair to stand straight up on the back of ones neck.

First, is Obama's pledge to bankrupt the coal industry, unless it figures out a way to capture all of the green house gasses it emits, keeping in mind that coal produces about fifty percent of the nation's energy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMwBbl6RoIs&feature=related

Second, is Obama's latter-day announcement that he wants a "Civilian National Security Force" that is as strong as and funded as well as the U.S. Military.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt2yGzHfy7s

If that doesn't scare one, that person is brain-dead absent a full explanation of the intent of such a force, and typical of Obama, he gave no explanation.

Third, Hugo Chavez, the PLO, Hamas, the UN and others whose desires with respect to the United States are inimical its interests, have endorsed Obama (that fact alone should convince every American Jew to vote for McCain.). Add to that he lifetime of associations with those on the far left, such as his pastor for twenty years, Jeremiah Wright who "damns America," and who refers to the United States as the "U.S. of KKK A," Obama's own animus toward "white folks," who he to the effect states that he universally distrusts; his affiliations with William Ayers the impenitent American Terrorist who Obama describes as "mainstream;" all these paint a picture of a man who despite his carefully crafted remarks is not worthy of trust, much less leadership of the United States. The "Change" that Obama is in fact informing us he would bring is so far left as to easily qualify as Socialist or Communist in its fulfillment. This is the case despite his poking fun at those who would accuse him of having those tendencies at the least, if not fully embracing those political systems albeit in the disguise of high sounding rhetoric.

Fourth, is his evidently long and close relationship with Louis Farrakhan, leader of the U.S. Nation of Islam.

http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/farrakhan_obama_islam/2008/11/01/146685.html?promo_code=2A89-1

Fifth, The United States is at a major political crossroads, one that should Obama be chosen would bode ill for free enterprise, private property, indeed the Constitution, since I believe he would call for a new one. I base this last on his denigration of the Constitution as it was penned by he Founding Fathers.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck

If the nation wants the Change of the Obama variety, it will reap a whirlwind that will be hard if not impossible to control.

In the final analysis despite "mainstream media" propaganda and $600 million spent by the Obama Campaign, I believe that thinking Americans will vote for and elect John McCain, the man who will lead the country in correcting its flaws, faults, deficiencies, and inequities; in fostering an environment that would enable the country to prosper; and will provide the leadership both at home and abroad that will make the Nation's and world's future better and more secure.

"Two Roads Diverged in a Yellow Wood and I, I chose the one less traveled by, and that made all the difference."

Vote, for John McCain and Sarah Palin for freedom, security and prosperity!

John McCain is a giant of a man, a man of integrity, a man of valor, and a man of experience; a man who endured the unendurable, was tried in the crucible and emerged an authentic American patriot and hero. He may not be an eloquent speaker, he may not have the most charismatic personality, and, although John McCain has manifest his human failures along the way, I will support him, I will work for him, I will vote for him and I will salute him in victory!

Let's hope the ol' Colonel is right!

There are a number of issues that if one is the least bit objective should cause the hair to stand straight up on the back of ones neck.

The militarized "civilian security forces" that Obama proposes are the scariest issue IMHO.
What say you?

The “silencED” majority is about to roar.

Ignored by the MSM, underpolled and ridiculed.

http://www.zombietime.com/lefts_big_blunder/

In 2008 there is no silent majority: there is the silenced majority. The unpolled majority. The media is so pro-Obama that the views and the concerns of McCain supporters are for the most part ignored or, at best, mocked. The goal is to foster disillusionment among them, a sense of isolation. To trick the Republicans into all staying home on election day because “there’s no hope of winning.” Maybe the Democrats can’t avoid a showdown on November 4, but if they can convince enough McCain supporters to individually “fold” and not vote at all, then Obama can carry the day.

Do you think the plug was pulled tonight to impact the election?

A Civilian Security Force, the Fairness Doctrine to silence critics, and a tax system that drags us all into poverty. But wait! There’s more!

Didn’t Joe Biden assure us, with absolutely certainty, that a national emergency will “test” Obama and force him to make decisions that will harm his popularity? What if that calamity is the pretext Obama needs to declare a national emergency and suspend all civil rights and the Constitution?

It’s John McCain or the end of America. Take your pick.

It is my prayer that when BO loses this election that he in defeat can have his soul washed and regenerated so that his proud and deceitful ways can be amended and that he will be a better person for it. That God will have mercy on him and he can be a true humble man and gives his soul to the light instead of the darkness.

There is one person at my office who is a Barack Obama supporter who just won’t shut up. There are at least two gun owners in my office, but this person just does not get that Obama is against gun rights. No one else in my office feels the need to blabber on and on and on...

Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Think like Obama for a minute: "Hey she's done for anyway, why not just move it along a little and harvest the idiot sympathy vote? Besides, she's nothing but a typical white person."

I agree with another poster who said “nil”. Not only because it was known she had terminal cancer, but the public was not given access to her and therefore unable to determine if she would be someone they could relate to. And who hasn’t had a relative, and not to sound crass, but she was 86 yo, so not unexpected.

Actually, Proverbs 16:18 says:

Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall

If we are going to quote the bible, let's quote it right.

That’s very nice of you, but here’s my take on Obama after losing the election...

whoever is digging up the dirt, whoever is investigating, whoever is finding out about the REAL Obama CANNOT STOP.

Everything needs to come out now. He needs to be destroyed as a future candidate. Let them find someone new to groom.

Ahh, what a bunch of hooey!
McCain's handlers should have/could have brought out EVERYTHING months ago.
It's all too little, too late now.
