I think we may have people becoming accustomed to no consequences no matter what they do.
It’s the idea of ‘let’s try socialism. Why not? If it doesn’t work we’ll try something else that’s fun’.
Because people have never seen really reallyt bad consequences of anything they do.
The don’t recognize it as socialism. Obama keeps denying it is socialism because he knows he cannot win by being honest.
I think it is important to consider the logical extension effect, of an Obama Presidency, on the social, political and economic structure of this country. The left/Democrats/Marxists will have control of nearly all major US institutions. These intuitions include the Presidency, The Congress, The Supreme Court, the Mainstream Media, Hollywood, primary and secondary education (via the NEA), colleges and universities, unions, governmental bureaucracy (such as FBI, CIA, Justice Department and State Department and which do not change regardless of the party controlling the Presidency and/or Congress). The individuals in these institutions’ constant and overriding goal is to keep their jobs and increase their salary and benefits without having to put forth any additional effort. They are subject to little accountably and they have little incentive to do their job description job well.
These institutions will silence the few critics that exist such as conservative talk radio and conservative internet sites with the so called “Fairness Doctrine”. They can gain total control of the military and local police by controlling top supervisory positions and using the trickledown effect. They will gain total control of the Medical industry through government health care. Obama has proposed a Federal Civilian Police Force (can you say Brown Shirts) to bring any malcontents into line. He has previously shown that he will not let the “Pesky” Constitution get in his way. With little effective opposition possible, the prospects of rescuing the economy let alone the structure of society and political discourse.
His election will mean a serious reduction in the amount of capital available to grow our economy by people who understand free market economy dynamics. The left is already planning taking over 401(k)s, rolling it into the Social Security Empty Lock Box and then spending to insure their power. This will be done under the guise of protecting the proletariat from downturns in the Stock Market as has currently taken place. They want to roll this together with SS and give you a healthy 3% on your investment, while they rob you blind. The 401(K) plan will take massive amounts of investment capitol out of the markets and devastate them. Our economy will accordingly get so bad that the only way for anybody to survive is to have the government take care of all of us.
Value, within the context of an economy, is created by individuals or businesses acting in a way to “add value”. Adding Value is what Capitalism does and Marxism specifically designed not to do. Obama and a Democrat congress policy will result in a significant reduction in incentive to add value or even to try to add value. Workers (union workers more so) generally do not understand and/or care about adding value and many are not willing to make significant effort to improve their economic condition. Giving them money from the government (actually from other citizens after losing value of the 60% government overhead) without any effort or obligation on their part will decrease their incentive to work at all. Many European countries economic structures and the resulting negative effect on work ethic are a testament to such decreased incentive. With the US having the second highest marginal income tax rate in the world, and even higher taxes promised, investors will have less incentive to invest in this country. The net effect will be a downward spiral in the US economy to a bottom that is unfathomable to us. Since the US economy is what ultimately sustains most of the other economies of the world, such serious permanent damage to the US economy will accordingly affect other economies of the world. I know this sounds like insane gloom and doom. When you consider that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are now located in the middle of the road of the American Left, wait until the real radicals flex their muscles. There is a reasonable probability that some, if not all of these consequences will occur as a result of an Obama Presidency. If McCain wins, he is so stupid that he will probably be talked into some of this anyway. At least we would have time to organize and fight for “Original Intent”American values with “Original Intent”political and economic structure.
