Compare this with Rick Davis comments yesterday, ..
Either the McCain Campaign is seeing something very good in their internals. Or they are passing around some good drugs.

Timing is everything.
You only need to lead by a few votes for one day.
McCain may peak at just the perfect moment.

When asked how he was planning to get through the marathon seven-state day, Salter quipped: Crystal meth. Me, personally, thats how Im going to do it.
I don't doubt it. This guy sounds oddly "edgy" for someone representing the GOP.

Salter is peppering me up.
Actually I don’t need pepping up, I have been expecting a Mac win ever since he named the wonderful Sarah Palin as his veep.

Interesting. This is not the sort of thing that one can easily fake. You don’t pour blood, sweat and tears into something this important and then conjure up convincing giddiness and confidence if you believe that you’re going to lose.

Just talked to a co-worker from Southern New Hampshire (which is supposed to be Blue) he spoke with 5 neighbors who are democrats and are all going to vote for McCain.
Reasons: Spread the Wealth, Joe the Plumber, his arrogance, and kicking conservative newpapers out of his campaign.

Cautiously optimisic. I just cannot fathom that good people in this country will choose the poorest choice for a candidate we’ve ever seen.
The McCains and Palins bring a smile to my face when I see them. They’ve conducted themselves admirably through this grueling election. They represent me and my kind. They are good people. I can’t see it any other way.
I’m keeping a picture in my head of John McCain taking the oath of ofice in January.

I don't sense any real optimism among my democratic acquaintances at all. They are almost to a soul, depressed. I don't see any of that much talked of enthusiasm either.

I remember in the final days of the 1992 an 1996 election, you could tell by looking into the eyes of Bush I and Dole that they knew they were going to lose. McCain does not have that look, in fact he looks more confident than ever. Maybe it's because he knows something we don't...
